The highlight of the year! After more than eight years, the time has finally come: Boris Brejcha, also known as the Joker, is releasing his 10th album on his own label, Fckng Serious.
Listeners and fans can look forward to a very special musical collection. The album, which will be released on all streaming and download services on April 19, 2024, includes a total of 17 tracks plus 3 long versions of the previously released edits.
Since 2022, Boris Brejcha has been releasing his music again on his own label, Fckng Serious. Already in 2023, Brejcha gave us a glimpse into the upcoming album. His singles "Level One," "Space X (Edit),“ „Vienna (Edit),“ and "Dimension" have already given us a taste of this diverse album. And even in the new year, there was a preview of the highlight of the year. Boris Brejcha received prominent support from singers Malena Narvay and Leony, among others.
It was very important to the Joker himself that the album provides a deep insight into his musical work: "My album promises to be a captivating blend of familiar and nostalgic sounds, offering listeners a delightful journey through my artistic career." "Level One" reflects my entire musical journey and encompasses a variety of songs that showcase my unmistakable style while simultaneously paying homage to my previous works.“ We at Fckng Serious are more than happy to be part of this masterpiece. The album "Level One" is an important milestone for Boris Brejcha and us as a label in our musical history. A modern nomad who has travelled the continents with his music, Nu is as diverse in his musical styles as he is well-travelled.

Taking influences from his various homes, such as Switzerland, Germany, or Peru, the producer and trained sound engineer branched out into various genres (deep house, hip hop, trip-hop, ambient, experimental, dance, and even film and dance theatre music composition). Through this years-long musical journey, Nu then found his true calling: instrumentals amalgamated with his electronic production, all held together through solid rhythms.

Nuʼs music has a strong emphasis on live performance. He fuses clean-cut minimal techno with the raw sounds of his analogue synthesis and his self-made instruments. He works with anything from self-recorded samples over drum and synthesizer machines to multi-touch screen controllers.

Young Irish-producer Rebūke continues his rapid ascent to the top with two original productions on Hot Creations, primed and ready for the dancefloor.

Rebūke recalls being worried that Along Came Polly may have been perceived as being “a bit too weird”, but once it caught the attention of Jamie Jones, there was no stopping it. He says that the hype surrounding this EP “is something I’ve never experienced before...and it always get a great reaction”.

On Along Came Polly, Rebūke showcases his innate ability to craft a weirdly, wonderful slice of techno. On the B-side, Rolo is a much housier affair, weaving together a bouncier bassline and sultry vocal stab.

The alias of Reuben Keeney, Rebūke, has only been in business for a short while, but his efforts have already proved to be fruitful. He has garnered support from the likes of Nic Fanciulli and released on labels including Saved and DFTD, as well as having a successful club night under his belt, where highly regarded names such as Camelphat, Darius Syrossian, Ejeca and Huxley have all played.
