'Hiraeth' is a Welsh word that has no direct english translation. In Welsh culture though, it's connected to a homesickness tinged with grief and sadness over the lost or departed. A mixture of longing, yearning, nostalgia or wistfulness. - In german we use the word 'Sehnsucht'.

I've been a big fan of Joachim's music for a while (as I'm sure listeners of the Blue Dot mixes can tell!) so I was really excited to collaborate on an ambient project. 

We started with a silent, powerful scene from a favourite movie of mine and began layering emotions on top of the imagery to form this meditative piece of music. We hope you enjoy it.
