Distract-Ion is the fusion of a life-loving-music-obsessive-multifunctional-artist combined with an entrepreneurial mindset to create a lasting presence in the hip hop community and music industry. Recent performances include headlining at the Tiki Bar, taking part in the Acropolis Records Showcase at House of Blues, and sharing the stage with Dilated Peoples, Living Legends, Visionaries, Aceyalone, Mr. Lif, Medusa, and Kosha Dillz.

“Moving In New Directions (M.I.N.D.),” the debut album of Distract-Ion, and the flagship album of First Class Records. 14 tracks, all produced by Sick String, capture the listener through a musical arrangement of real life stories about circumstantial change, elements of human emotion, abstract expressionism, and an innovative way of delivering an emcee’s passion for the hip hop community. Guest appearances from fellow emcee Cashmiro, and singer Brenda Carsey. 

After a successful debut earlier in 2011, receiving acclaim and respect in the southern California hip hop scene, performing over 25 shows, 500+ units independently sold, winning the Urban Underground Award for "Best Solo Male Emcee," Distract is continuing the "M.I.N.D." movement and has made a temporary move to Jerusalem, Israel to work on a follow up album.  Distract's next project is due out sometime in 2012 and promises to be filled eclectic beats, unique collaborations, and his signature life-concept driven lyricism.  Stay tuned...
