The first mix of this style I made a while back and both mixes mean a lot. This genre is the one that 'speaks' to me most as I just can't help feeling inspired by the warm bass lines and beautiful yet melancholic melodies. Especially this time of year, it really reflects my mindset.

I've been creating a follow-up for a while and think I am finally happy with the results. Hopefully you are too!

InSpire 2

Jamie Jones launched the Hot Creations label back in 2010 with 'Ruckus'. Now Jamie makes his long awaited return to Hot Creations with 'Planets, Spaceships', a four-track EP set for vinyl release on 18th November 2013.

These tracks have been Jamie's secret battle weapons all summer. Tapping into a dark sider but with that distinctive Jamie Jones melody and drive that are a signature feature of his DJ sets. Title track 'Planets, Spaceships' features vocalist Daniela Caldellas from Digitaria, who has an album planned for Hot Creations in the new year, whilst 'Cookie Monster', 'Starp Trek' and 'Stick' take things even deeper with vocal snatches and crisp claps.

Highlighting his avant-garde style and showcasing exactly why he is recognised as one of the leading figures in the rebirth of house music, 'Planets, Spaceships' further cements Jamie's place in the dance music hall of fame.

Footage is from my Sardinia (Italian Island in the Mediterranean Sea) trip last summer. I rarely make use of people in my videos, since I believe that a beautiful, wide and open nature space where you get the impression to be alone, can create a more intimate feeling, that hopefully lets you focus more on your self, a task, or simply helps to relax. Think of a place where you can come to for new energy, for inspiration, where you receive new ideas, evaluate things, meditate, or just be yourself.
This time though, I broke that habit twice: There's a cool kayak guy paddling technically in the Mediterranean Sea in the middle of the vid, that reminds me of myself and friends of mine who enjoy being out in nature and doing some kind of sport. 
Way cooler though is the closing sequence with the kids dancing on the beach. I believe this is the most beautiful sequence I could ever capture so far. How would you interpret that sequence?

I've been mixing a lot less than I used to for a few reasons: I've been playing more guitar; learning some piano; DJing far less than I used to; other reasons, too. But I never stop being inspired by music.
