Jamie Stevens and Soul Trader (the hypnotic techno epithet of Funkagenda) individually relish in the indecent idea of reinterpreting a future classic by dipping their digits deeply into sulfurous springs. The concluding collection consists of a couple of new concoctions calibrated concisely for mind-contorting catastrophes.

With ‘Rubicon’ we welcome back Dutch maestro Alex O’Rion to ICONYC. Alex gets us in the mood with the wonderful opening track 'Rubicon’. A grooving progressive house roller fusing gentle piano chord stabs with subtle string ensembles clinical percussion with a beautiful driving lead line, a club inspired piece of progressive house and Alex's trademark string manipulation, prevalent as all manner of elements drift in and out of earshot. Perfect for sun kissed summer evenings and to get you in the mood.

Next up we have 'Linn' an amalgamation of deep bass tones, subtle drum programming, cleverly chopped samples and intricately weaved chord progressions, building to a beautiful breakdown before gradually rebuilding the elements to an unrelenting crescendo of driving beats and an ever-warped bassline, before all manner of varied progressive sounds weave in and out of the stereo field, making it the perfect companion to close out this fantastic EP from Alex O’Rion.

Alex has developed a unique style which endeared him to us; having establishing his credentials as a master of his craft.
