‘Poetry of the Vanished Territories’ is an audiovisual exploration of central and southern Ukraine’s landscapes, capturing memories of fading places that linger between what was and what remains.

Using open source data and field recordings from the corresponding locations, Andriy K. and pryvyd layer abstract compositions with fragments of reality, blending nature and memory.

The journey begins with ‘Lybid,’ a tribute to one of the oldest rivers in Kyiv, that endures in its fight for existence.

The diptych ‘Kinburn Before’ and ‘Kinburn After’ tells the story of a sandy stretch in the northwest of the Kinburn Peninsula, nestled between the Dnieper-Bug estuary and the Black Sea.

Continuing the path, 'Ozon Dub' transforms matter's state, with water gradually giving way to gas, only to revert back to the salty depths on 'Oily Sea'.

An archive of the transient, ‘Poetry of the Vanished Territories’ invites you on a journey through the spaces in-between.

Making a selection for this mix, I was guided by pleasant melancholy, nostalgic escapism and languid reflection of a midnight person or essence who wants to take stock of the day and move harmoniously into a new one. By the way, my abstract dark elves and fractured deep-sea artefacts are hidden in the mix.

As a pair of foreigners (from the UK and Bosnia) living in Praha, Czechia, we as curators of YUKU wanted to give something back to the creative residents of this country by creating a series on our label to platform local artists. "místní fauna" means "local wildlife" in Czech, and these 10 tracks capture the aesthetics of 10 different artists — either Czech natives or creators residing in the country.

We plan to do this as an ongoing series to highlight artists from what's an often-neglected region by the press and media in general, so this is hopefully just the beginning <3

cusoon dj is the moniker of Andriy Kostyukov (otherwise known as Andriy K.), who is a Kyiv-born and Prague-based producer and dj. Andriy skillfully combines experimental club music with a deep listening downtempo specter of sound.

Andriy has shared stages with: Upsammy, M.E.S.H., Evita Manji, Interplanetary Criminal, Exael, Neu Verboten, Maoupa Mazzochetti,Katarina Gryvul, Diana Azzuz, Jay Glass Dubs, Oliver Torr, Granul & Ursula Sereghy. He is a co-organizer of the Motsion — one of the first musical events that began charitable activities in Kyiv after the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In productions, Andriy has established a strong musical position between tripped-out techno and brain-dance bass music. Through his new moniker ‘cusoon dj’, he draws from previous releases as Andriy K on the Odessa label 'System' with the EP 'Regression Authistics’, and ‘Shelest Dub’ on the Portuguese label 'Surf' - sustaining his main sound concepts through glitchy rhythmic abstraction, while exploring club experimentation, more dynamic structures and psychedelic sound design.

Andriy Kostyukov aka @andriy_k is a Kyiv-born and Berlin-based producer and dj. Andriy skillfully combines experimental club music and listening live performances. His exclusive works could be heard at many leading events in Europe. Some of the key festivals were he showcased his spectre of sound - ICKPA Berlin (DE), Kontext (DE), Bukolica (CZ), Seismic (CZ), ODS (UA), Voyage Culturel (UA), Na Chasi (UA), Brudnyy Pes (UA), Nearbyrave (CZ), Rehole (CZ).

In 2024 Andriy joined the Shape + artist roster, while he is working on the upcoming audio-visual release, that is dedicated to the ecological catastrophe in Ukraine.
