intro

divergent series builds on a glitchy melodic sequence that was composed on my modular synth. rich harmonies layered with reverb and broken by glitches, repeats, and stutters provide the foundation for one of my favorite things that I wrote in 2023.

this track has been through so many iterations. really thrilled to finally call it done and share it with the world. the original WIP title was "bugs" because it was based around some loud field recordings of insects. those sounds were eventually stripped to make room for guitar layers and percussion. this track blends some inspirations from shoegaze and jam, using a bunch of original guitar layers, along with some 808 drums and other synthetic sounds. hope you dig it :)

originally titled 'heady groover', this track uses some drums from the tr-8s, sparse modular sounds for the melodic bits, and some heavy subs.  really digging this tempo for club-inspired stuff these days
