Intruders marks a high-octane escalation in Korax’s new EP, surging forward with a volatile blend of warped basslines and kinetic drumwork. The energy is immediate and unrelenting. Warbled low-end modulations twist and ripple like sonic interference from another dimension, while the driving rhythm section hammers with surgical precision. There’s a chaotic elegance to the arrangement, as if the track is constantly mutating, always on the edge of collapse but held together by sheer force of momentum.

Where Lunar Cult lingers in shadow, Intruders kicks the door down. The sound design is jagged and alien, filled with textures that feel alive; buzzing, writhing, and ready to consume. Fleeting glitches and reverb-soaked stabs dart through the mix, giving the impression of a hostile force breaching a secure perimeter. It’s a track built for peak-time detonation, engineered to take control of the floor and refuse to let go. Korax proves once again that chaos, when wielded with precision, can be a powerful weapon.

Intruders

Cosmic Horror, the title track of Korax’s EP, plunges into a realm far beyond the bounds of reality; a bleak, unholy expanse where sound becomes ritual. From the first pulse, it radiates a pitch-black aura: low, guttural bass rumbles like the chanting of ancient entities, while shadowy pads stretch out like tendrils from another dimension. The rhythm lurches with calculated menace, dragging the listener deeper into the void with every drop.

This is not just a track—it’s an invocation. Cosmic Horror feels like a sonic gateway, with enough weight and fury to summon something unspeakable from beyond the stars. The sheer darkness in the atmosphere is suffocating, yet hypnotic, compelling you to stare into the abyss even as it stares back. With its otherworldly sound design and raw, demonic energy, Korax cements their place in the darker fringes of Neurofunk, crafting an experience that’s as terrifying as it is transcendent.

Cosmic Horror

Tidally Locked closes the Korax EP with a crushing sense of finality - dense, punishing, and shrouded in darkness. From the outset, it builds an atmosphere of claustrophobic tension, like being trapped in perpetual night on a planet that never sees the sun. The bass is feral and tearing, ripping through the mix with unrelenting force, while the drums land like seismic shockwaves, thick and immovable.

There’s a haunting gravity to the track, as if everything is being pulled toward some unseen mass. Each element is tuned for maximum weight; every reverb tail, every percussive hit feels deliberate and doomed. Tidally Locked doesn’t just finish the EP, it seals it in a black shell of dread and power, leaving behind a lingering sense of unease. Korax ends their sonic descent on a note of controlled chaos, where groove and terror march in lockstep.
