Released in October 2017, this mix was previously only available on a limited cassette from Brevity Tapes and featured a separate mix from Karl Meier on the flip side. The approach was to do something slightly different than the average podcast or live mix, instead reaching a bit deeper into our collections and present a dynamic narrative with the framework of a 45 minute cassette tape. This one was super fun to put together and features a range of IDM and electro tracks from Dynamo, Andrea Parker, Aphex Twin, Peder Mannerfelt, DMX Krew, Sleeparchive, and more.

Rikki is the co-founder of inner_circle with good friend Leighton James. With 20 years experience in the Brisbane scene both DJing and promoting, Rikki draws on this experience with the 5th installment of their podcast series.

The mix is full throttle club/ rave mode that encapsulates the sounds and direction of Rikki's style over the past few years. You'll find plenty of drums and percussion throughout the mix that includes everything from breaks to house, electro and techno.

A familiar face in the local underground electronic music scene, Kurtis is a man of few words, with an explosive dance floor demeanour. He likes his music loud, and fast (preferably around 170bpm). This all vinyl mix he has curated is inspired by the forward thinking, leftfield sounds from labels such as Nullpunkt, Samurai Music and UVB76. These labels have played a huge part in sculpting his taste for abstract drum and bass.
