Feeling bad not having enough – or feeling bad about achieving something… there’s always that. Feeling bad. And that’s what Greed-Eyed is about. A bit Placebo-tinged, the song uses howl-like backs and arps and layering to achieve that frustration/longing feeling of not getting to that place where one’s at ease.

I wrote this when refugees were detained at the polish border. All the time human rights are beeing violated around the european border and also within it’s borders. I think in general we have more in common with other people than we would suspect. Our common humanity connects us. And as a christian I believe we are called to actively care for the world and people around us and ‘not just nod at the daily news but stand strong against the wrong and the darkness that surrounds us all’.
