Passionate about music since he was a child, Gaetano began studying and playing the guitar in 1997, first as a self-taught musician and later at CESM in Catania.

After playing with several high school rock bands, where he focused primarily on playing original music, he started studying blues and jazz improvisation. At the same time, he developed a passion for music production, computer music, and various music software, which led him to experiment with different musical forms and structures.

In 2015, Gaetano released his first album, Adagio Espressivo, as well as the "Around the Velvet" EP. His musical influences are diverse, ranging from Michael Jackson and Hendrix to the Beatles, the Doors, Morricone, Marley, Dylan, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the jazz of Miles Davis, Pink Floyd, and the Pat Metheny Group.

In 2018, Gaetano released a new publication titled "Une Ètude – Piccole storie d’inverno Classico". In 2020, he released "Television". In 2021, he collaborated with Antonino Cortese on "Interplay" and released an EP titled "Music Like Water", which features alternative versions of many of his songs. He also released a new single, "Chasing the Sun".

Lukan is the behind-the-decks moniker of Nakul Mehan. Based in Mumbai, he also spearheads the India wide Oscillate party series. 

Following releases on Romanian imprint Eleonor Records, Lukan put out a string of Free Downloads that gained support from the likes of Posthuman, James Zabiela, Paco Osuna, Sidney Charles, Riva Starr, Moodymanc, Boxia, Kiss FM & Ibiza Sonica Radio. In 2017, Lukan's bootleg of Bonobo's 'Break Apart' was placed at no. 20 in XLR8R's Most Downloaded charts for the year. This was tailgated by well-received podcasts on respected platforms like Deep House London, Data Transmission, DMC World, When We Dip, Faze Magazine & Kaltblut Magazine(VICE). 

Having lined up an arsenal of records due for release in 2019, Lukan shifts his focus from the studio to the DJ booth. With recent performances in the Indian cities of Mumbai, Goa, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Nasik, Jaipur & Lucknow besides prior shows across the UK & Dubai, Lukan is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with.
