Chevy One's Whip It Up is getting the remix treatment here and we've got two very nice ones for you to choose from. The Specimen A Remix is a crisp and clean peaktime breakbeat banger that melds the original vocal into a reimagined synth bassline and lead stack. Precision vocal and drum edits help sculpt this track into a thing of beauty. Andy Faze gives Whip It Up a psy-breaks overhaul with a chugging static bassline and an array of squelchy acid synths and spaced-out effects to zone out to along the way.

This is a very special track for me. It all begins while i was listening to some bible revelations online. The 13th Revelation talks about the Devil in a very dark way. I decided that a pulsating PSY Breaks mixed with Tech Funk Breaks Beats was the best solution for this gem. It is doing very well right now on Beatport and I hope to get this track right up to number 1. Stay Tuned!

OOOD - How deep can you bleep?
OOOD (aka. Out Of Our Depth) are 4 blokes from England whose mission is to have a good time, spread a little joy and write some blinding psy-trance in the process. Originally formed in 1994 by Colin Bennun, Nigel Bradbury and Stephen Callaghan, the current line-up is Colin, Steve, Ramsay Melhuish and Ryokan Potier. As well as being talented DJs they bring an extra live element to OOOD's live shows, adding live drums, percussion, guitar and psychedelia. A live band from their inception, OOOD have been gigging since they formed in Oxford, honing their craft at local events. Their very first performance in London (at Otherworld) was described in Dream Creation magazine as "bang on, with a power and a quality all too often lacking in some of the more well-known atists". On the UK party circuit their performances include live sets at Synergy Project, Tribe of Frog, Cabbage, Strange Daze, Otherworld, Return to the Source, Escape from Samsara, Pagan &amp; many many others.

Apart from solo psytrance releases as early as 1994, OOOD's first release was on Phantasm Records in 1996, with their collaborative side-project Unconscious Collective subsequently releasing one of Flying Rhino's biggest-selling tracks, 'Fluorostani Transcendance' later that year. With up to 6 people on stage and musicianship of all kinds very much in evidence, OOOD have performed live (in various combinations) all over the world from New York to Japan via South Africa, Israel and of course the UK and Europe. Recent festival gigs include opening the Origin stage at Glade Festival, as well as prime-time slots at Sunrise Festival and Waveform Festival in the UK, Fusion Festival in Germany, Hidden Gate Festival in Japan and Vortex New Years Eve and Easter Festivals in South Africa.

aLIVE... and Kicking
The first OOOD album aLIVE was released on Cabbaged Records (UK) in 1997 and was probably the first ever live album released as a debut by a psy-trance act. A stunning exposition of the unique psychedelic sound of OOOD, the album was recorded live - and we mean LIVE - at parties across the UK including Pagan's fabled New Years Eve party, Science Fiction and Otherworld at the Fridge in London. Many years after its release, this seminal album is now a collector’s item sought after by trance-heads across the world.

Breathing Space... Refining the formula
Two years after their debut album came OOOD's second long player Breathing Space. Ranging from full-on neuro bashing psychedelia to utter ambient via dub and chilled breaks, Breathing Space ventured beyond class A dancefloor mayhem to include the mellower side of OOOD's sonic headspace. Showcasing the dramatic effect a studio upgrade can have, the album marked a step-change in the quality of OOOD's productions and was released independently on OOOD Records distrubuted by MRL (aka. Kukomi). Now also a collector's item, copies of the CD have sold for silly money on eBay (although you can apparently still buy it in Tower Records in Tel Aviv).

Free Range... No dancefloor is safe
Over a year after it was first announced, and after 6 years of work, their third album Free Range was released on Organic Records in November 2006. Although aimed solidly at the dancefloor, this is more than a straight-ahead trance album (as the title suggests), and - with a fresh infusion of inspiration from the new members - sees once more a great improvement in production values alongside OOOD's trademark unique storytelling style and sense of humour. It was hailed by reviewers as one of the best releases in 2006 (and by Psyreviews as one of the best artist albums the scene has yet produced), and the band are currently completing their next album project, titled “FourThought”.

Celebrating 10 years of writing and performing psychedelic dance music, we're back with some fresh psybreaks for 2019!

Kicking off a series of releases, World Engine / Occupied is a two track EP featuring two mainstays of our recent sets. World Engine is faster darker and harder at 137 bpm whilst Occupied is more techy and melodic but still full on psychedelic!

We've got more releases in the pipeline and we're looking to work with some exciting labels both old and new, so watch this space for even more psybreaks coming your way.

SUB006 Brings newcomer Rezaloot with their tasty blend of daft punk esq sounds.  Vocoders and distorted guitars are the order of the day here, and they deliver right on que with some real funky shake ya ass biznizz.

On the flip side Too Dusty ups the pace with and uber hard and driving tech funk mix. Not for the faint hearted, this one is sure to do some damage.

Andy Tappin is a DJ, Producer, Scientist and avid electronic music lover of over 15 years on the scene. Spinning everything from House, Techno & Trance, Andy has honed his craft into Breakbeat! Over the last 5 years Andy has established himself as a respected producer & DJ in the scene with over 50 releases, on more than 15 international, leading & influential record labels.

His progressive style and consistant slick production with-in the modern day Psybreaks sound, has earned him great respect and many fans. Many of Andy's releases have reached the top 100 charts in all major download stores and many of them reaching the top 50!

Andy has performed at various clubs and festivals here in the UK, across Europe, and has graced the same stages and nights with legendary acts such as - Eat Static, Cosmosis, The Orb, Green Nuns of the Revolution, System 7, Liquid Ross, Astralasia, Transglobal Underground, OOOD, Hedflux and Guadi to name a few. 

He helps run Sub Element Recordings, which was voted best new label in 2014 at - Breakspoll (The International Breakbeat Awards). Andy was also nominated for an award in 2013 along with DJ Fastbinder for best radio show (Future Breakz Live). Andy now runs his own Psybreaks podcast (Elements), which has gained over 20,000 subscribers (in just 18 months), welcomed massive support, and is growing each day! 

Mr Faze  has recieved support from respected artists such as - Nick Sentience, Hedflux, Bad Tango, Broken Eye, OOOD, Monk3ylogic, Chris Voro, Pale Penguin, Llupa, Too Dusty, AP3X, Martopeter, plus many others.

With already an extensive discography - many productions, remixes and a brand new album planned for the summer, the horizon looks bright! :)
