His recognition grew through releases on Boddhi Satva’s Offering Recordings, with further acclaim from collaborations with Ndinga Gaba, Chappell, Kenza, and Benjy and more.

His productions, featured on respected labels such as King Street Sounds, Connected Frontline, and Paradise Sound System are known for their storytelling, atmosphere, and cultural resonance. His upcoming single “iLanga” (feat. Born Kxng & Natasha MD), releasing June 27, 2025 via his own label Ethnic Records, follows the acclaimed Kwa Dumizulu EP, which includes his powerful remix of Busi Mhlongo’s "Awukho Umuzi."

BIOGRAPHY Alfredo Rodriguez (AKU) born in San Diego, began to love music on the Tijuana party scene. If at the beginning you considered that passion only as a hobby, now more than ever it is a very important part of your life. The first mixes were house, then with the evolution of the music scene, he wanted to experiment with other genres such as electronic, techno, deep tech and minimal. Create increasingly unique, alternative and quality DJ sets with music that has its origin in the past, but always in evolution and for the future.
Alfredo Rodriguez is a 39 yrs. old, producer artist, DJ driven to innovation thanks to the high musical culture developed for more than a decade.
