José Diogo Correia aka Re:Axis started his journey in sound at young age, perceiving the vibrations from acoustic and electronic instruments as a tool to create space and travel within. Taken by the desire to explore and expand the inner world, he shared knowledge with musicians and learned Piano, harmony and improvisation at the Jazz School of Oporto, having later study Engineering and Sound Design in Lisbon, where he had the possibility to work with hardware and software. Easily inspired by nature and everything that resonate around, José became a professional musician in 2006, the year he set the love intentions to share, connect and get inspired through energy and frequencies.
With releases on his own label Aurora Mística, Monocline Records, Planet Rhythm, to name a few, he have been supported by artists such Ben Klock, DVS1, Pfirter, Jeroen Search, Truncate, Tale Of Us, Claudio PRC, Scuba, Dasha Rush, Adriana Lopez... Re:Axis traveled the world performing his own music in clubs such as Magdalena (Berlin), Batofar (Paris), Lux (Lisbon), Gare (Oporto), Indústria (Oporto) or Plux (Hamburg) and Festivals like Boom (Portugal), NeoPop (Portugal), Exit (Serbia), Chocolate (Switzerland), Plötzlich am Meer (Poland), Spring (Germany), Fresh Weekend (Spain), inDoor (Spain), Griboffka (Ukraine), as well as on a Tour in India (New Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore) back in 2012. All the experience and maturity acquired over the past makes him a unique artist of the dance music scene.

German based artist, Shelley established herself since 2019.
She showcases elemental sounds from the realms of Hypnotic/Deep Techno and Drum’n’Bass. With a varying sound across genres of electronic music, Shelley has been featured in mix series from Crescent London, Revelation Of Sound, Diffuse Reality and more. Thanks to Eric Cloutier, she also landed her first gig at Tresor Berlin.

Well, folks, here we are, near the end of this year. I could say a lot about 2024, none of which was highly positive and worth celebrating, so I’m happy to close this chapter and move on anew. If I could try to name one highlight of the last year, it would be the accelerating advancement of artificial intelligence, and even then, I’m not sure if it’s a good thing. I am confident that I’m not alone in this sentiment, having spoken to many musicians and label owners reflecting on the state of the scene, the music “business”, and the world in general. Plenty are struggling to keep going and hopefully persevere. With that said, I did spend a tremendous amount of time highlighting the albums worthy of your attention and money and selected my favourites for the upcoming Best of the Year feature, which I will begin publishing on January 1st. It’s one thing worth looking forward to. The other is this fantastic collaboration between my favourite artists, Joachim Spieth and Agustín Mena, recording as Warmth and SVLBRD. Separately, the two have produced an abundance of heart-warming music on their respective labels, Affin and Archives, which has kept me in comfort, sanity, and peace. Mena’s 2018 release Parallel nursed me out of COVID and remains at the top of my rotations, unparalleled in its charm. Meanwhile, Spieth’s dubbed-out ambience has been a spellbinding companion at home and on my travels, reducing anxiety and focusing the mind. I’ve profiled both artists on these pages in-depth (read the most recent In the studio with Joachim Spieth), and I’m excited to announce their upcoming joint release and share an exclusive premiere of this beautiful track.

Für Emmi ist die Musiklandschaft nicht nur ein sicherer Ort, um ihre Gefühle auszudrücken, sondern auch ein sozialer Raum, der Party, Subkultur und Künstler miteinander verbindet.

From a young age, she began to break free from conservative structures through art and music. Her goal was to embrace rebellious creativity and create spaces for intercultural exchange.

For Emmi, the music scene is not only a safe space to express her emotions but also a social environment that connects parties, subcultures, and artists.

Since she started producing music and exploring the world of synthesizers in 2019, it has brought her joy and opened up new perspectives in her life.

'It was time for me to go back to my roots. When I started DJing 25 years ago, I regularly played very energetic techno sets in various clubs in Germany, Spain and Italy. After recently playing music for the mind (ambient and low BPM music) I wanted to let the energy flow again and play a little more energetically and faster. I really enjoyed the recording and danced a lot. I hope to motivate you, dear listeners, and make you dance in the same way'.

Ronny Pinazza tries to convey the feeling of the infinite timelessness of the soul of nature with music in an understandable language. His DJ sets are always driving, ritualistic. Natural sounds and hypnotic melodies allow the listener to reach another state of consciousness. This is how he describes his vision: 'when time and space lose their meaning, when everyone is connected in unison to the music, united in one energy bubble, then the perfect state is reached. No thought separates us from the great unit. Only knowledge and joy move us to the beat'.

His productions are experimental, unorthodox. Hypnotic rhythms and driving beats characterize his tracks, always filled with natural sounds. The listener is transported in a space that seems to exist between the stars. Deep in his heart he believes in infinity and that time and space are only imaginations. His goal is to express these inner feelings with music, so in 2021 he set out to develop his musical language.

Ronny Pinazza has released 2 EPs on Cellar Door records, has collaborated on VAs on Indefinite Pitch, Free Palestine, Linee Sonore, and EPs on Division Group Records. More to come on Indefinite Pitch, Codecast and Visions of Hiira.

✈ To celebrate this new episode, we are proud and delighted to welcome Berlin-based DJ & producer : KWARTZ (Pole Group / SK_Eleven).

Kwartz is the stage name of Mario Campos, born in Madrid in 1989 and now based in Berlin.

In late 2011 and after publishing several EP’s in different international labels, Kwartz's productions began to draw the attention of the leading names in the international scene, so in 2013 Exium released a split EP with him called Fenomen, which was his first release on vinyl.

In late 2013 Kwartz joined PoleGroup and became part of the booking roster of the label commanded by Oscar Mulero, where he began to release his works regularly. In addition to PoleGroup, his tracks have appeared in several of the most important international labels, such as 47 (Tommy Four Seven’s label), Mord Records, Semantica, Horo or Warm Up Recordings.

2016 brings the launch of his own label: Order&Devotion, where he will release those of his works which move between dark atmospheres and deep and visceral sounds, all surrounded by rhythms designed for the dance floor.

His sets could be described with three words: raw, mental and groovy, in which he pushes the dancefloor to a constantly state of tension.

Few artists can match the influence that Enrique Mena, AKA Svreca, and his label Semantica have had on contemporary techno. With over 20 years in the DJ booth, 200-plus releases on the label and some acclaimed original productions and remixes, Svreca has spearheaded techno’s second generation, helping maintain Madrid as an international hub for deep and driving sounds. 

As a DJ, Svreca draws from a wide sonic palette that includes noise, dub, avant-garde electronics, electro and, of course, techno. First, it was luminaries like Angel Molina and Oscar Mulero that inspired him; since then he has made it his mission to survey the scene and connect with its most original artists. He funnels these influences into a powerful techno sound for body and mind: immersive, textural and rhythmically complex. Through his A \ S \ O \ M alias, he has put forth a diverse range of music encompassing downtempo, leftfield, and alternative electronica. Adam's growth, evolution, and success mirror that of his initial passion, techno. Adam delves into a broad spectrum within the house and techno genre, presenting an array that spans from deep, dark, hypnotic, driving, loopy sounds to the groove-infused house and techno influenced by the Romanian music scene.
