This curation of tracks proposes an interlude in the Olorun project. It returns to the acoustic sound of the early works while embracing the newer break-bass language. Rather than a retrospective or a preview, it unfolds as an interlude.

Here, instruments are both acoustic and digital, dry percussions meeting coded synthesis and numerical patterns. The music creates a tension between trance acoustic textures and algorithmic rhythm, like breath against computation.

Each track inhabits this in-between state. It traces the subtle passage from one form to another, from organic vibration to synthetic topology and reveals that these ideas are not separate, but part of the same evolution.

Welcome to Techno Tiger's Finest - the monthly podcast where a little Techno Tiger is hunting down and unleashing the best underground Techno tracks for you to hear, mixed by yours truly.

The March episode of TTF is recorded at Pirate Studios London (Dalston) where I tried to dig deeper with my track selection into a deeper dark emotional flow state but also mixing up different kinds of broken beats into a 4 to 4 beat full of energy again. I like to experiment with combining different layers to tickle my brain and ears and to trigger an emotion next to familiar moments of drops. I played with differences in adding and decreasing volume per track to create more interesting effects and intensity.

The owl butterflies, called Caligo, always fly in the dark and are known for huge spots of eyes on their wings, reminiscent of an owl. Its name, in the language that originated Portuguese, Latin, has the meaning of darkness. The pattern of its wings is highly enigmatic. It is a generalized form of disguise, where many hesitate to come close, because it has patterns that resemble the eyes of many predators. However, they are unexplored, like the very darkness. From Caligo, originates Kaligo Records.

Lucas Miranda, also known as LCFM Music, is a tech house producer focused on energetic, upbeat pop tracks, as well as creating dark houses and techno. He produces original tracks, remixes, and bootlegs with a cinematic approach and a minimalist sound. (Not always 😂)
