Welcome to Mercury, closest planet to the sun and the second release from Ostrich Recordings.

Mercury is a baron planet, too hot and hostile for any form of life to exist, and these themes are mirrored in the aesthetic of the title track. An old-skool breakbeat, heavy sub-bass, and relentless Acid-line bring the heat, while sparse, bleepy tones give an empty, alien vibe.

We Are Dust is a Bleep Techno track with a distinctly dystopian feel. Punchy drums, dark pads and hooky bleeps play out over heavy bass lines, while strange and unsettling noises fill the backdrop.

Both tracks are a modern take on a sound that originated in the industrial roots of the north of England in the late 80's, and a nod to the pioneering early releases on Warp Records.

On the 21st June Delta Heavy are back with 'Hydra', the second release on their self titled imprint. The release follows the recent success of 'Ascend', and proves the iconic duo's label is set to deliver back to back brilliance.

The imprint launches to the duo's ever-growing, loyal, and engaged fan base which boasts around 135,000 followers and 700,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and an average of 1.5 million monthly listens on their Youtube channel, with the first release ‘Ascend’ amassed over 138,000 total streams in week one alone.

Rising from the ashes of A:B:S comes Andy Beck. With over 10 years experience of playing and producing breaks & Tech-Funk in his previous guise, the new identity hails in a new more purely techno focused sound and a renewed enthusiasm for the music he plays.

Over the years Andy has played all over the UK at bars, clubs & festivals including Sheffield, Bristol, London, Norwich, Somerset & Leicester as well as holding a number of residencies in his home territory the East of England and the odd trip to France. A versatile performer he’s played alongside the likes of Riva Starr, Tom Hades, Nick Sentience, D.A.V.E The Drummer, Chris Liberator, Basement Jaxx, Mark EG, Ellis Dee, Hybrid, Plump DJs, Elite Force, Meat Katie, EZ Rollers, Mobile Dogwash, Specimen A, DK (Ninja Tune), DJ Cheeba & Drums Of Death.

As well as playing for other promoters Andy also ran his own successful Mind-Funk events for 2 years attracting the likes of Meat Katie, Elite Force, Dopamine, Rektchordz, Lee Coombs, Hedflux, Caninesounds, Vandal & Neurodriver to grace the decks.

On top of the gigs & promoting Andy also found the time to produce his own tracks and remixes for labels such as Dead Famous Records, Benefit, Aux, Box Set, Deep Garnet and V.I.M giving him a number of breaks chart positions under his belt. Stepping back into production recently his first techno release 'Blister' was picked up by Koen Groeneveld for his Abzolut Miami 2018 compilation. 

Andy also made a return to radio in 2018, after 7 years away, with a new show on Essex based Studio 808. Fortnightly Wednesday nights 10pm-Midnight GMT. https://studio808online.co.uk/
