In Canada, it reached No. 1 on the RPM national singles chart for the first time on April 8, 1972, on which date Young held the top spot on both the singles and albums charts. Anyone can click a like button; it doesn't prove you actually listened! Anyone that doesn't show proof they are actually listening will be removed from playlists! If the only support you give is to cynically click like buttons, you are contributing to the eventual demise of #Soundcloud and other music sites; without these sites to post your music on you are basically screwed; there won't be much point to making tunes if you don't have any kind of audience!

If you don't give REAL support, the support you get will eventually come to an end; we all eventually get tired of giving and getting nothing back. In the end, not only does it ruin the chances of everyone else, it will destroy your own. It is also a big mistake to underestimate the talent of others and overestimate your own! Don't assume their music can't be as good as yours; burying your head in the sand might protect your ego, but it doesn't do much for your reputation!

If you can't show respect, you don't deserve respect, so don't just click the like button, listen, and leave feedback to prove you listened. If you don't get into the habit of doing this, #Soundcloud won't be around much longer!

Seems #Soundcloud are now under new management, and will be staying in business, but for how long is dependent on how much activity we, the musicians, create and sustain!

Andy Carhart is a solo artist and multi-instrumentalist from Colorado who creates music embracing many styles; From mellow to metal. His music is inspired by a mission of personal growth, evolution of soul, and a strengthened connection to mindfulness. His compositions are philosophical, introspective, and full of rich melody.

Andy’s music showcases a passion for both the acoustic and electric guitar. He offers a wide variety of contemplative works that invite the listener to embrace the moods and emotions of the changing moments of life. Andy brings forth a unique and immediately identifiable artistic style through the seamless blend of genres including instrumental guitar, rock, folk, and electronica. His latest releases include the haunting rock song Erasing Me (2025), heartfelt Americana tune All Those Times (2024), and Do You Believe (2024) his second collaboration with Argentina based electro-artist Atrip. His catalog stretches back much further though.

Andy's love for musical diversity is reflected deeply within his body of work that caters both to fans of the eclectic and lovers of technical proficiency as he draws inspiration from many genres and combines them with the teachings of life.
