Casino of Montréal presents the 21st edition of the 24 Hours of Vinyl, part of the official Nuit Blanche in Montréal programming.

The world’s first “around the clock” musical marathon dedicated to vinyl records & DJ culture returns for its unmissable annual edition at the Nuit Blanche in Montréal.

Since 2011, in over 20 editions around the world (London, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Paris, Vancouver), the event has showcased over 200 DJ’s and record collectors.

For the 21st edition we present a musical trip around the clock with some of Montreal’s best DJs coming together to celebrate the love of vinyl records with this marathon created by the team behind Music Is My Sanctuary.

Over 12 DJs will relay using only vinyl records for 24 consecutive hours to which dancers and music lovers are invited to boogie from the comfort of their house. A full day focused on the discovery and sharing of music without borders, from jazz to electronic and soul.

Hailing from STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN, ERIC has been crafting his sound over the last decade, having had significant releases on DERRICK MAY’s label FRAGILE, CARL CRAIG’s label PLANET E COMMUNICATIONS and also JIMPSTER’s, FREERANGE label. 

PAPA DEEP Vol. 2 will be released in full on 3rd November and features incredible contributions by DEETRON, LOUIE VEGA, RALF GUM, SPIRITCHASER, HUXLEY, SHUR-I-KAN, ATJAZZ amongst many others. ERIC has also exclusively remixed 5 tracks for the album including THE REALM & V – ONE CHANCE, THE COMPANY – SUPERSTAR, THE REALM feat. TONY MOMRELLE – TIME, MATTHIAS HEILBRONN feat. Deeply prolific Bristol-based house connoisseur Andy Compton has released over 50 albums and over 200 EPs (either under his own name or as part of his legendary group The Rurals, COMPTON or L.A.M.P, Blue Dream) on his essential Peng label and imprints like Motown, Universal, EMI, Sony, Ralf GUM’s GOGO Music, Chicago’s LARGE Music, Seasons, Viva, Hed Kandi and many others.
South Africa has embraced Andy's deep house sounds, and because of his popularity over there, and albums released via EMI, SONY, WEA, and now Universal. He has done over 20 South African tours in the past 10 years.
Since discovering house music in the early ‘90s Compton has released a dazzling array of music and worked with an army of artists. He’s been featured on the cover of the seminal DJ Magazine and had his music used in TV show Six Feet Under, while tunes like “Sweeter Sounds” have become bona fide anthems at spots like NY’s Shelter. He has worked with top class vocalists Celestine, Marie Tweek, Diviniti, Kafele, Rowan, Ladybird, Sabrina Chyld and many others!
Compton's Dj skills have turned heads and twisted bodies worldwide, with his thumping brew of electronic beats swathed in coolly-crafted melodies, with Peng becoming one of the premiere labels on the planet, garnering support from house big-hitters like Louie Vega, Larry Heard, Mark Farina and Osunlade (to name a few).
