The Fresh Up Mixtape

Here it is good people and followers. The very 1st Ghetto Funk podcast! Hosted by new recruit DJ Roast Beatz. Expect an hour of new, current and exclusive cuts from Ghetto Funk, Goodgroove, Break Beat Paradise and many more. Roast has been on the circuit for a while and his mix-tapes and live performances speak for them selves. Previously a radio host on London’s biggest Hip hop pirate radio station Itch FM, alongside numerous releases on Riddim fruit and BBP records. He was an obvious choice to take the reigns with our first podcast. Cindy Mizelle   This Could Be The Night

As a member of the Hip-Hop band Ugly Duckling, I've co-written and co-produced 6 albums worth of material, some of which was fairly successful.  I've also had the privilege of collaborating with top-notch people like Cut Chemist, Shawn Lee, Rip Slyme, M-Flo, Grand Puba and TJ Miller.  Recently, Unique Records put out my critically acclaimed, solo LP called 'Room To Breathe' and I, in partnership with 'The Allergies', released the single 'Rock Rock' which received nation-wide airplay in the UK.  Individual aspirations aside, i have a passion for music and, as a writer and producer, I'm interested in creating great songs for other artists more talented than me.  Over the past few years, I have composed all the original songs for the musical 'Recorded In Hollywood' which is currently running in Los Angeles and I've also created soundtrack material for various television production companies.  I spend most of my time songwriting and recording new sounds in my hometown of Long Beach, California and, occasionally, I write articles which deal with music, culture and history on my blog-site 'eartothetrack.net'
