In honor of ARC Music Festival 2022 fast approaching, we've posted a proper throwback to our project debut performance at ARC 2021.

In summer of 2021, veteran Chicago-based electronic music artists RJ Pickens and Hummingbird combined efforts in a collaborative project, thoughtfully titled Portals & Parachutes. 

Set to take place at the first-ever installment of the Windy City's highly anticipated ARC Music Festival, this duo had the honor of playing the first mainstage set on the first day of this brand new fest, kicking things off in proper form.  

This audio recording documents their debut audio/visual performance, sharing their positive message and motivation for creating an immersive musical experience designed to uplift and inspire at this pivotal point in human history.

Black Hearts is a community that only speaks the language of music and whose members you'll find all over Chicago at every event. That's why playing in front of such a dedicated crowd, at this intimate venue, felt really special.
