Lukan is the behind-the-decks moniker of Nakul Mehan. Based in Mumbai, he also spearheads the India wide Oscillate party series. 

Following releases on Romanian imprint Eleonor Records, Lukan put out a string of Free Downloads that gained support from the likes of Posthuman, James Zabiela, Paco Osuna, Sidney Charles, Riva Starr, Moodymanc, Boxia, Kiss FM & Ibiza Sonica Radio. In 2017, Lukan's bootleg of Bonobo's 'Break Apart' was placed at no. 20 in XLR8R's Most Downloaded charts for the year. This was tailgated by well-received podcasts on respected platforms like Deep House London, Data Transmission, DMC World, When We Dip, Faze Magazine & Kaltblut Magazine(VICE). 

Having lined up an arsenal of records due for release in 2019, Lukan shifts his focus from the studio to the DJ booth. With recent performances in the Indian cities of Mumbai, Goa, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Nasik, Jaipur & Lucknow besides prior shows across the UK & Dubai, Lukan is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with.

I started my music career 18 years ago with my first set of belt-drive Gemini turntables.  At first my interest was in Hip-hop and scratching records.  As my musical pallet became more refined I expanded my record collection to include Trance, House and finally Breaks and D&B.  During my early career I spent my nights spinning at house parties.  This turned to bars with the help of a friend who was also a DJ.  My career reached its zenith with a couple performances at the Mid-Town Beat Club in Denver.  I spent the next decade laying low and have recently began producing as much as possible.  I now have over 100 beats down and am looking to improve my art.  I welcome any advice and am always looking for other artists to collaborate with. Look for more of my music made with YUM+ME on Narcissistic Innuendos.
