Scenic & Advisory’s First Sunrise was a sublime slice of atmospheric & minimal beauty. The track was released on Rotation Deep’s first Definitions of the Deep LP back in 2011. With its rolling/glitch styled beats and lush, crisp keys the single went down a treat! 
As a result the duo decided a remix competition was in order to find out the new directions that the track could be pushed towards. Several months passed with submissions littering the SoundCloud servers. 
The time came for a winner to be chosen and after much deliberation Fracture Design’s re – furbished and re – decorated remix was crowned the winner !! 
The entries were all of a high standard, so much so that Rotation Deep decided to release an EP of the runners up.

Lm1 is the first of our runners up with his classic adaptation of the atmospheric original. Introducing a beautifully crafted beat and displacing the keys to make it his, this remix was what Scenic & Advisory were looking for. Perfectly sampled vocal cuts and vocoders keep it fresh and clean. We couldn’t hope for a better remix to kick start the EP. 
Fuse drafted in his own techniques to bring us a genuine and raw version of First Sunrise. Blessing our ears with a fantastic re – created chord progression for the pads and a downtempo beat to bring us a clinically built remix worthy of its place in this EP. 
Submatic pushes the original into even deeper emotive directions with his remix. This silky smooth liquid roller of First Sunrise builds a brilliant new version of events. Furtive and addictive bass lines and mid tones make this remix a fine addition to the pure artistry shown so far. 
Ficci brings an all loved ambient feel to the original. An irregular and evolved key melody perks up the stoic tones of the minimal drums. Ficci brings great new depths to S & A’s inherent intentions. 
All four of our sunrises are brilliantly shaped and well deserved of release. 
Congratulations to all who entered, we were blown away by the standards.
