سیاوش قمیشی (زادهٔ ۲۱ خرداد ۱۳۲۴، در اهواز،  آهنگساز، خواننده و ترانه سرا پر آوازه ایرانی مقیم لس‌آنجلس است. سیاوش قمیشی تاکنون بیش از ۱۸ آلبوم موسیقی منتشر کرده‌است.او دارای مدرک کارشناسی ارشد موسیقی در رشته جاز کلاسیک از دانشگاه رویال سوسایتی آو آرتز لندن است. سیاوش قمیشی پس از بازگشت از انگلستان در سال ۱۹۷۱ در گروهی به نام ربلز به همراه شهرام شب پره و همایون جلالی به عنوان کیبوردیست و خواننده همکاری کرد. ملودی‌های جادویی سیاوش قمیشی باعث موفقیت بسیاری از خوانندگان مطرح موسیقی پاپ شده است: از جمله این خوانندگان می‌توان به ضیا ،رامش،عماد رام،سلی،بتی،عارف ،امیررسایی ،ابی، داریوش اقبالی، شهرام شب پره،افشین مقدم ،مارتیک ،معین،حبیب، ستار، شهرام صولتی، شهره صولتی، داود بهبودی،ابی لیتلز،لیلا فروهر، اندی،منصور،شیلا، احمدرضا نبی زاده و بسیاری دیگر اشاره کرد.

علاقمندان فرهنگ ایران با رمان پرآوازه « کلیدر» نوشته محمود دولت آبادی نویسنده سرشناس این مرزوبوم آشنایی دارند. از نام کتاب نیز مشخص است که کلیم الله این بار به سراغ واقعیت های قیام گل محمد کلمیشی بر علیه تجاوزات و ظلم و جور دوران پهلوی رفته است و با آشنایی که با بازماندگان و حتی چند نفر از بازیگران اصلی آن قیام ( نظیر حاج صبرخان) داشته ، روایت دست اول و دقیقی از چندوچون قیام کلمیشی ها و چگونگی آن و سرانجامش ارائه کرده است.آنان که رمان کلیدر را خوانده اند،اینک با دیدن این کتاب، به‌یکباره با قلم ولحن صمیمانه وگفتاری  توحدی،همراه می شوند ویک باردیگربا قهرمانان رمان، دردامنه ها و قله‌ کوههای شمال خراسان ،ییلاقهارا به قشلاق و برعکس پیوند می زنند وصد البته این بار آنان را بی پرده و رودر رو دیدار می کنن

Erstwhile Public Defender in Brooklyn, N.Y. songwriter Andy Palmer performs solo and leads the band, Grub Street Writer. Three years of living and working in the trenches of Brooklyn's underbelly, clearly provide fodder for his lyrics and raw sound, which might be qualified as folk rock with an alternative edge.  His vocal quality has been compared to Cat Stevens, Ian Anderson, Tom Waits and others, but has always been very much his own making, emerging from long periods of solitude and silence. 

Palmer's debut and sophomore CDs received rave reviews, including being honored by being listed by Westword Magazine as "best of local releases 2011'.  The band was also nominated for Denver's best roots rock band.  Recently, he and his band accepted an invitation to close the TEDx event in Boulder on Sept. 21.  Palmer's music has been featured in multiple independent films.  

Palmer was adopted at a young age and raised in the rural northeast on a small family farm. He has spent six winter months in near solitude in a yurt in Maine. He's lived on and volunteered at a Buddhist meditation retreat for many more months of silent meditation. He is a professionally trained massage therapist, river raft guide, and a licensed attorney.  Many of his songs capture and share these experiences through a blend of storytelling and poetry.  While Palmer’s professional path has been broad, at his core, he is an artist. Through his music, he attempts to highlight the conflicts that commonly occur within the human spirit.  Palmer’s performances engage the audience’s emotion and yet allow the listener the freedom of interpretation.
