Rob Ótico is a Bristol-based DJ and producer blending techno, progressive and psytrance into powerful sets defined by deep basslines and explosive breakdowns. 

After a life-changing accident and an eight-year hiatus, he returned to the stage with a glowing prosthetic and an even stronger drive, performing alongside international heavyweights including John 00 Fleming, Jay Lumen and Eats Everything. 

Today, he’s recognised for high-energy performances and is one of the most recognisable characters on the dancefloor.

Native Braves are a distinctively dark and brooding alt-rock band. Their first release, ‘Blood Orange / Self Assemble’, demonstrated this unique sound with critical acclaim. Now, their debut EP ‘Dissonance’ (July 2015) is the first offering from Lincolnshire ‘Post-indie’ quintet since their line-up changes at the start of 2015. 

The EP is the culmination of months of experimentation with sound and genre boundaries, the result of which is a record that exhibits the band’s towering, sombre sound with a heavier edge while retaining pop sensibilities. 

Taking influence from Post-punk; Joy Division, Editors, Echo and the Bunnymen and enthusing these melancholic sounds with modern indie/alt-rock influences from the likes of Foals, Alt-J and The 1975 – Native Braves have created a truly individual sound that is reminiscent of the soulful 80’s/early 90’s indie scene with the immensity and gall of the modern rock and indie scenes, a creation they call Post-indie.

Andy Sonar had a number 1 hit (4 WEEKS!) ((TWICE!!!)(no,four times now...)on the independent charts (independentcharts.org) with his first single 'Jupiter's Eye' . Number 1 with second single 'Ignition' also. 

I've been a songwriter, musician, producer and DJ since I was at high school. Feast and famine...
It's 6am so I'll keep it brief for the moment. Some of the highlights of my career have been recording with Glenn Matlock (the original bassist/songwriter of the SEx PisToLs), forming a band called Gods Third Leg and the Black Candles (which featured a young Simon Pegg on drums), signing a management deal with Bernie Rhodes (manager/svengali of The Clash, Adam and the Ants, Dexy's to name but 3).
This is new to me, and the first thing I've done is to digitize these early '90's Bombay Doors tracks from cassette- they were NOT easy to find man, I thought they were lost forever until Facebook hooked me up with a fan who still had the album!
I've got more to put up now too after meeting with Andy the drummer for the first time in a decade, luckily he had some good stuff, tracks, pix and video I'm told....
I' want to put more up but just gimme a chance man. I am pretty fuckin' lazy. Or easily distracted.
Anyway, I look forward to telling you more - pix and stories to go with the tracks I put up from way back in my hazy past.
And I'm writing a new album, I'll be putting it up bit by bit I reckon. Feedback is cool. In a track, and of a track....

I'm currently writing more stuff, in a different vein tbh, but will put it up as I go along.
There's some mixes I'd like to put up too, but we'll just have to see how I do for space/time on here - think I've only got 2hrs. If that's the case I'll put a mix up at a time.
