Saafi Brothers are delighted to present a remix album of their debut release ‘Mystic Cigarettes’ on Youth’s Liquid Sound Design label. 

The project presents remixes by Youth, Gabriel Le Mar, Ajja, Bluetech, Braincell, The Delta, Jam El Mar, Living Light, The Irresistible Force, DM-Theory, Eternal Basement, Backstage Gurus and many more. The timeless beats of the original tracks are projected into the future, guaranteed to get you grooving to their lush soundscapes, but with a fresh twist.

Saafi Brothers’ mystical journey began in 1996 when, inspired by his travels to India, Gabriel Le Mar started a collaboration with Frankfurt-based producers Michael Kohlbecker and Groovetitan. Simon Ghahary signed them to BlueRoom and their debut album ‘Mystic Cigarettes’ quickly made its way into the hearts of music lovers, placing Saafi Brothers among the key artists of the electronic ambient scene.

One year after his debut album release mCurtis is back with Yomi Remixed.

The remixers gave their unique music signature over the original tracks, as their remixes fills up as a full album we get a collection of ten fresh remixes. Ranging from trip-hop to downtempo electronica, and from trip jazzy breaks to drum'n'base.

Inspired by 'the Outlaw Ocean' a book by Ian Urbina

While reporting at sea, journalist Ian Urbina, of the New York Times, built an audio library of field recordings featuring a variety of textured and often rhythmic sounds, from machine-gun fire on the coast of Somalia to chanting from captive deckhands on the South China Sea. Inspired by the reporting, artists from around the world created EPs sampling sound clips from Urbina’s archive, integrating them into their respective genre. Each EP artwork uses photography Urbina’s team captured at sea, beautifully illustrating the reporting.

I enjoy making sounds using my computer. I am not by any means a refined producer but I hope my original/creative ideas shine through regardless.  I'd hope my tracks come across as ambitious at best. My tracks are not for sale at the moment, are currently used for promotional/entertainment purposes and are typically made free within 2-3 months. I'm open to any collaborations, just PM me.
