Swaminatha Paripalaya is a Sanskrit Carnatic Classical 'Kriti' originally composed by Muthuswamy Dikshitar in raga Nattai (Adi Tala).  In this alternative version, the band has applied a funky guitar patch throughout with western drums while combining Indian elements such as the mridangam and flute. Check it out...a must listen for Carnatic fusion lovers.

Another one from my Vault....!!!
This was a very coincidental production as i was recording the singer Deepthi for a jingle.
Apparently she was having a bad day and her throat was givin a traffic block.
I told her to start singing some alaaps and this traditional krithi...
Somehow the RECORD was ON and i ended up gettin a rough track with bunch of clicks n pops.I eventually ended up producing this track just for fun.This was done in 2005 if im not wrong.Hope you will enjoy this very old production of mine...

The verdant landscapes of Kaziranga set the stage for this collaboration between Angaraag 'Papon' Mahanta and Rabbi Shergill in Episode 6. The former is a native of the state, and revered for introducing an entire generation to ancient folk melodies. The latter introduces his Sufi-tinged, intrinsically Punjabi sound for a memorable collaboration.
