Ellashuk was very dear to me. She mentored me on different levels consistently and with dedication. She taught me so many things that she felt I needed to know, she was loved, admired, respected, cherished and adored by so many.

I'm not too sure what to call this track yet, but I've had a conversation with my lady about how we have to survive to live up north and this is what I came up with from being inspired by our conversation. Not done yet, but its been hanging there for awhile so I thought i'd share.

Sometimes I think we forget that the world is a big place and we kind of.. go into our own little worlds and it's easy to lose ourselves and feel sad. That's how I was feeling when I wrote this song.. It just reminded me that whenever I feel sad or alone, there's a big world out there waiting for me to experience it! Go play in the snow!

Strong Enough

Shauna Seeteenak is an Inuk hip-hop artist and political rapper, originally from Baker Lake (Nunavut). From the age of ten, Shauna discovered that she could express her emotions beyond words and create shared experiences through her music  Currently based in Iqaluit, Shauna has made a name for herself in the industry and has collaborated with many Inuit and international artists. She is a genuine storyteller and centers her music on the truths and challenges facing Inuit people, including mental health, sobriety, breaking stereotypes, overcoming barriers, surviving the north, and trying to heal.
