A new deep, minimal, and tech house set. Expect the usual harmonic mixing with contrasting textures and samples. I tried to balance futuristic and retro sounds in this set, which starts and ends with NASA's audio recording of a black hole. I have been somewhat obsessed and intrigued with space, and all things cosmos recently and this has filtered through.  The image is a photo I took of the sky and trees reflected in water ripples in the river Arve, near where I live in Carouge, Geneva. 

Inspiration from Ludwig Goransson (Oppenheimer OST), DJ Koze, Matthew Dekay, Parra for Cuva, and DJ Boring. 

A Quantum Robin: According to quantum biology, the European robin has a 'sixth sense' in the form of a protein in its eye sensitive to the orientation of the Earth's magnetic field, allowing it to 'see' which way to migrate.

I was invited to the @highwavefreq studio in Gdynia for their first Open Decks event, where I decided to record part II of my set originally made for the Las Festival DJ Contest earlier this year. You can listen to the first part here:

In this new mix, I focused on techno below 130 BPM, a tempo I find deeply atmospheric and meditative. It lets my thoughts flow freely without unnecessary noise, and I hope it brings you into the same space.

The tracklist blends various shades of techno: dub, minimal, tribal, and a few more melodic moments. Some tracks are fresh discoveries, others are over 10 years old, but together they form a coherent story that feels timeless.

The set was recorded using the brand-new CDJ-3000X players from AlphaTheta and the Pioneer V10 mixer.
