The festive season is here and I just hit 2 million plays, so it's a double celebration. Now if, like me, you think that nothing says Christmas like a bit of soul-crushingly dark techstep then I'm sure this festive offering won't disappoint. Indeed, this idea is one I've been sat on for a while; my mixing habits have definitely slowed this year but I really wanted to grind a decent one out before 2025. 

The mix rationale then. Caught up somewhere between my 500th listening of Trace & Ed Rush's legendary '97 One In The Jungle set, and the preceding year's Tech Steppin compilation, I found myself asking a simple question. What if the legendary (and it really is fucking legendary) 'No U-Turn Experience' mix had been made a year earlier? Why don't you ponder that for a minute, grab a large Baileys, pop this on and kick back. Merry Christmas.

Biography:

Hailing from Lublin, Poland, Radeus is an electronic music DJ and passionate sound explorer whose love for music spans more than three decades. Deeply inspired by the vibrant electronic scene of the 90s, he began his mixing journey in 2001, experimenting with a wide range of styles — from trance, electro, and techno to hands up and electro house. Over the years, he has honed his craft through countless sets, radio shows, and online podcasts, steadily building a connection with listeners who share his passion for electronic soundscapes.

After a creative hiatus, Radeus returned to DJ-ing in early 2022, reigniting his energy behind the decks and bringing his signature sound to live events both locally and across Poland. His performances are known for their emotional depth, seamless transitions, and hypnotic flow — each mix becoming an immersive, transformative journey for the audience.

Today, Radeus focuses on the genres that resonate most deeply with his artistic vision: progressive house, organic house, raw trance, psy trance, and occasionally techno and downtempo. His style is characterized by deep, melodic progressions, long, evolving transitions, and a sense of storytelling that transcends the dancefloor.

As the founder and curator of the acclaimed Resistance Sessions podcast series, Radeus showcases not only his own meticulously crafted sets but also guest mixes from talented DJs around the world. Deeply reflective mix, made after the passing of one of my then new friends, long term role-models as a DJ and Producer then and then chosen/reciprocated mentor's took his own life, over a short period of months in 2018, I hung around every night online with him and his crew, I learned much wisdom, shared secrets and techniques and some shared friends are some of my dearest friends (Dean and Josh).

Tektronicity On Saturo Sounds - 003

So honored to have C-Lyn takeover Tektronicity on Saturo this month. Someone I've been following for many years on Soundcloud, and whom I've always held in high esteem along with Amber Long, Deanna Avra, Ani Onix and many other stellar DJ/Producers I followed from the early days of Soundcloud. As far as I'm concerned, C-Lyn has hugely reinforced my love of progressive house and the darker side of progressive techno.
Originally from outside Philadelphia, PA, USA. C-Lyn has been DJing for over 15 years, having first fallen in love with electronic music at a warehouse rave when she was a mere teenager. This passion for progressive electronic music became ingrained when she accidentally attended Twilo who were hosting the legendary Sasha and Digweed. Right there she was mesmerized and seriously hooked on the music, ultimately seeking the help of some fellow DJ friends, who immediately recognized her passion and helped her on the road to realizing her dream of DJing. She has since gone on to play guest sessions on Frisky Radio for X-Chrome, Feeling Frisky and her own residency called Symmetry on Progressive Beats Radio, which has been running for over 2 years. C-Lyn's style is a blend of dark, tech, melodic progressive and techno sounds and always endeavors to take you on a musical journey. Enjoy...

Tektronicity On Saturo 012 (All About Guy J - Part 2)

I've been listening to electronic music since I was old enough to tune into the John Peel show on Radio 1. Peel first introduced me to Chicago House, Detroit Electro and Rap. I would listen to an entire show with my finger hovering over the record button of my 'tape-recorder' close to the radio speaker just to record whatever 3 electronic imports he would play each night. I wish I'd kept those recordings.
From the moment I first heard 'Roxanne Shante' I sought out everything I could ranging from Kraftwerk, Mike Oldfield, Kurtis Mantronik, Africa Bambata, Grandmaster Flash, Gorgio Morodor, Axel-F, Jean Michel Jarre and just about anyone who used a synth to make music! With the arrival of House in the mid-late 80's the likes of Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Steve Silk Hurley, Adonis and many more American underground House producers, the music had developed into a new, seriously exciting phenomena.
Music progressed at pace with House and Acid imports driving change, the UK in particular underwent an epiphany of sorts in the 80's and 90's. From Break-Dancing to New Romanticism, the music developed, finally morphing into the early genres of Acid Trance, Techno and Progressive Trance. Heavily influenced by American and underground Dutch and German artists and with the advent of clubbing and non-speaking mixing DJ's, it opened up a Pandora's box of new music, influences, sounds and styles. What that amounted to for me (and most others like me) was an ever-growing range of electronic music that was continually breaking free from pigeon-holes and mainstream pop culture. Electronic music had become the new classical music of a generation.
I can only say that electronic or computer music has evolved beautifully in the past 40 years and I love it as much now as the day I first heard John Peel play fantastic American imports.
I'm not anything more than a bedroom DJ and electronic music enthusiast. I have the greatest admiration for those who DJ publicly and seek to build a following or career from DJing, but that’s not a path I’ve tried to follow. I do love to put together great tunes, so for me using this sort of platform for sharing music is perfect for me. I do mixes both on my decks and using Ableton, as sometimes I find it easier to create a journey through that medium. 
As for making music, I’m slowly finding my way around Ableton in order to bring life to the musical ideas rolling around my head.
