To the Point - Jens Lodén

When singer Edvard Bisof and Jens Lodén met in the latter's studio to make music together, the outcome was stunningly groovy, energetic, playful and full of funk, soul and disco. The resulting track "We are People" is a funky dance floor filler with reminiscences of Michael Jackson and Chic, with a deep modern sound, and is released as a single on Loplay Recordings in July 2015.

Jens Lodén has released music under his own name and in a number of collaborations on various labels throughout the years. For instance his work with Arabic music with the group Sheharzad - and the remix for that project by Henrik Schwarz, or Jens' remixes for Swedish jazz artists, has been great and popular examples of border crossing music with groove and integrity.
Recently he has started his own label Loplay Recordings as a means of being in control of the entire process of musical creativity and production, both regarding his solo projects and collaborations.

Edvard Bisof has travelled through different genres of music ranging from rock and soul through funk and projects with West-African musicians throughout his career, to especially blossom out into the world of jazz. He has developed his own style - soulful and highly rhythmical, and constantly strives to create something unique and inspirational with lyrics, grooves and melodies that entice and enrich the listener. The latest years Edvard has written and performed his music through various artistic projects in Scandinavia and ex Yugoslavia, above all with his own jazz group - Edvard Bišof Quintet. Their new album “Because of Love” was released in March 2015.

Cut It Out

With his second full length album under his own name Jens Lodén shows his explorations in the techno/house domain during the last couple of years, with 
aspects and influences of deep house, minimal, tech house, detroit techno, trance and acid. Genuine analog synth pads, dark 303-like basses, old school organ sounds... Both manually played and programmed, it all melts together into a mature musical languange that is groovy and suggestive, often with a dark melancholic feeling.
