Japanese artist Yunosuke Senoo, aka Lycoriscoris, returns to Anjunadeep with his new album 'Chiyu'.

In recent years, Senoo has built a cult following as part of a new wave of Japanese producers. His signature blend of organic melodies with intricate sound design have won him support from the likes of DJ Koze, Michael Mayer, &ME and BBC Radio 1’s Phil Taggart. A multi-instrumentalist, Senoo has played live alongside the likes of The Field and Moritz Von Oswald at venues including Tokyo’s legendary Dommune. 

Composed throughout 2020, 'Chiyu' documents Senoo’s journey of reflection and recovery.  

“Memories and retrospection are the fundamental concept that inspire my music. For instance, my own artist name plays on the name of the Lycoris flower. In Japan, it's often found near cemeteries, which is of course a dark connotation - however one day when searching in the Language of Flowers (Floriography) I discovered that the word Lycoris also means “I’m looking forward to seeing you again”. 

I realised how this dark flower also hides a beautiful and positive message. I think my music, and my new album ‘Chiyu’, has the same kind of dualism as the Lycoris flower.”

With influences ranging from Boards of Canada and Christian Löffler, Senoo showcases his delicate production style over the 9 tracks of ‘Chiyu’. From the intertwining melodies in ‘Shizumu’ to the polyrhythmic textures of ‘Utsurou', Seeno combines dreamy soundscapes with modern electronica. A skilled photographer, Senoo also provides the imagery for the album artwork shot in his native, Japan.

Senoo’s new album follows the release of his acclaimed LP ‘Flight’, released on Anjunadeep in 2018. Positioning in the top 5 Electronic albums on iTunes, 'Flight' gained support on tastemaker stations including BBC Radio 1, KEXP and NTS Radio as well as international press support.

Nouvel invité d'Azdin dans son émission "Take Off" : DCLVIII OFC !

Anthony Godin, plus connu sous son alias "The White Shadow (FR)," est un vétéran de la production musicale depuis plus de deux décennies, avec plus de 25 ans d'expérience en mix. Son parcours artistique a débuté dans le monde de la techno mélodique, mais il a rapidement évolué vers des sonorités plus profondes et en a résulté le projet "The White Shadow (FR)." Sous ce nom, il a signé sur des labels de renom tels que Suara, Still Von Talent, Kattermukke, et Einmusika, attirant l'attention de DJs de renom tels que Solomon, Maceo Plex, et Oliver Huntemann.

Au fil de sa carrière, Anthony a exploré différents équipements musicaux, passant de la MPC2000, du micro Korg, du Nord Lead 2, et d'une Yamaha 01V à une approche plus minimaliste avec un Moog Sub37, une TD-3, une Roland TR-8S, et des performances live immersives.

Cependant, il a décidé de mettre fin au projet "The White Shadow (FR)" et a créé le projet DCLVIII OFC, qui incarne une approche plus techno, avec des influences de Detroit et une touche à la Garnier, ajoutant une progression subtile et une touche mélodique. Ils se distinguent en ne se limitant pas à un style en vogue du moment, plaçant les émotions au cœur de leur musique.

En témoigne ses morceaux signés sur Metrohm et son très récent EP sur Brique Rouge en collaboration avec David Duriez. Sa démarche musicale privilégie en effet les labels qui partagent sa passion et sa vision.

DCLVIII OFC incarne la philosophie selon laquelle "Techno is life!" et continue de repousser les limites de la musique électronique, avec une passion inébranlable pour l'art sonore. C'est donc très logiquement qu'Azdin lui a demandé de contribuer à "Take off" sur https://lineoutradio.com.
