The following is my submission to the Crow Hill Composer Challenge. The challenge was to compose a track that includes all of the Crow Hill Vaults Beta instruments. Each participant was given a randomly generated musical mode to write in.

Usually I simply create whatever comes to mind with no real goal in mind other than to have fun and make something that I vibe with. So this challenge was a refreshing change that not only was a great learning experience but very enjoyable. I wanted to not only meet the requirements of the challenge but make something that I would love to listen to myself. I wanted to stay true to myself.

Each Crow Hill Company Vaults Beta instrument enters in order of its release - sort of a reverse Haydn "Farewell" Symphony.

For the Crow Hill Company composer challenge. 

This was made using exclusively the free “Vaults” instruments from Crow Hill. 

The brief didn’t specify to use only Vaults, just to include them all, however I decided to keep to Vaults alone as they fitted well. 

The Mode given / chosen from the competition page is E-Phrygian. 

To make some “different” sounding instruments I just used sound design via FX plugins from Logic X and Reason 11 and BlueCat. For example the “bell” sound is actually from the Vaults Celestatone.
