MELANIA . is a polish artist based in Berlin, who’s musical adventure began by the end of 2014. Since then she regulary plays Worldwide in well known venues. She's also known for her rhythmic noise, post industrial alias - Harsh Mentor. She has carved out her mark in the scene with releases on [aufnahme + wiedergabe], Instruments of Discipline, Oraculo Records, Subsist Records, Labrynth, and others. She also holds a residency at the Projekt Lab in Poznan where she's co-founded the Verzerrung club nights which mostly focuses on the industrial side Techno and more. Her selection is completely focused on her feeling, thereby it stays beyond limitations to a specific genre.

Hailing from Portsmouth, UK, Rich Jones alias Operator champions a techno sound that, although purist-compatible, doesn’t cut itself from the wide array of sounds that’s fed the genre for over 30 something years of its existence. This week’s mix from the British jockey and producer, who's amassed a string of reputable sorties on the likes of MORD, Blue Hour, CLR, Soma and his own imprint, Gnosis, gets us vibing to a cross-curricular two hours of funk-charged salvos, high-powered 909 moves and further Detroit house-y divagations that make the most out of each bar to send shivers down your spine. Combinando este amplio conocimiento en la producción de música electronica especialmente oscura con elementos percusivos de deje industrial, hacen de Codex Empire toda una 
experiencia tanto en directo como simplemente disfrutando de sus producciones. Sus apariciones son siempre en formato directo, no como DJ, y ha actuado en lugares como 
Fondation Sonore en Bruselas, MaschineRaum en Viena, varias ciudades de Suiza como invitado especial de The Soft Moon y muchas otras en Berlin como en Arena Club,

[EN] Although a relative newcomer to the contemporary techno scene, Mahk Rumbae - the British born and Vienna based producer behind Codex Empire - has been creating challenging 
experimental electronic music for 25 years working as one half of industrial/ experimental band Konstruktivists as well as a raft of varied solo and side-projects. 

Combining this background in dark electronic music with heavy rhythmic elements makes Codex Empire an intense and simultaneously danceable experience both live and on record. 
Appearing only as a live act, not as a DJ, Codex Empire has performed at Fondation Sonore in Brussels, MaschinenRaum in Vienna, several cities in Switzerland as special guest 
of The Soft Moon, and numerous appearances in Berlin at Arena Club, Suicide Circus, Berghain and Boiler Room. 

Codex Empire has released two well received EPs on aufnahme+wiedergabe, and have remixed The Soft Moon for their Deeper Remixed LP. Forthcoming releases include an EP on Leyla
Records, a Konsumer remix on Nachtstrom Schallplatten, and a Veil of Light remix on aufnahme+wiedergabe.

Huntley + Palmers with Redstone Press & Hypnotic Groove - 11th November 2018

CKFM number 43 comes in the form of a stormer of a mix from Inverness stalwarts Hypnotic Groove. 

Johnny & Andrea have been going to raves since the 90s and have the stories along with the record collections to prove it. Their party, label and mix series Hypnotic Groove is an institution in the Highlands and the couple are rightly seen as taste makers when it comes to house & techno in the area. Having recently performed in La Cheetah club Glasgow along with a mix for Rinse FM on the Huntleys & Palmers show, they have kindly provided the next hour for your listening pleasure.

This is a journey through stripped back techno with flecks of acid, foot stomping rides and the odd broken beat thrown in for good measure.

Meeting Johnny and Andrea was a definite highlight of our 2019 when they invited us to play their club night at the Tooth and Claw and also joining us for our all day DDE HD party back in May.  The pair couple up to make up the Hypnotic Groove DJ's and have gained huge respect for their high NRG techno sets that never fail to bang, label and on-going mix series.

The next event for the Hypnotic Groove gang is on home-turf with Granary 12  headling on 15th February.
