We couldn’t be more excited to welcome the Asian-American dj/producer duo BEAUZ to Future Generation with their fantastic single release ‘Bipolar’ in collaboration with ThatBehavior and Luna. The single marks also the 10th release of Future Generation and is most definitely one of our best ones up to date.

Summer is just around the corner which usually means a myriad of bright, upbeat tracks flooding the airwaves. At first listen, you might think that “Bipolar” is another one of those songs with its bubbly instrumentals and airy vocals from the amazingly talented Luna, but it’s much more than just a summer hit - produced by BEAUZ and ThatBehavior, the single comes also with a more deeper message.

Like BEAUZ themselves describe: “Love isn’t perfect. When countless episodes of distrust and mutually inflicted heartbreaks loom over a relationship, people tend to be confused whether they stayed with one another out of genuine affection or mere convenience. “Bipolar” is a healing love song for people who are suffering in their relationship yet don’t know when to, or if they should ever, walk away from the love that once was the source to unforgettable happiness. Using Bipolarism disorder as the theme to personify the contradicting nature between loving memories and unhappy relationship, this song aims to remind all the victims that only by truly knowing the value of oneself could one realize that the toxicity isn’t worth staying for.”

Right from the very first second, you’re instantly thrust into a fluid, atmospheric soundscape influenced by BEAUZ’s signature style with Luna’s voice guiding you through it all, mixed up with ThatBehavior’s vibrant production techniques. ANIMAL HACK is a Tokyo-based producer duo consisting of MASAtO and YUtA. Suddenly appearing in 2016 and quickly dominating music streaming platforms, they have built their name as producers and increased their fan base, both domestically and globally. In addition to their iconic style of catchy and clean electronic-based dance music, their personal backgrounds and cultural influence the concepts of their songs, which are often influenced by life in an age of social media and the fluidity of consuming music through streaming. Their song “Franny” was selected by Apple as the theme song for their Shibuya branch renewal ad. Following this, “Pressure” was chosen as one of Apple Music Japan’s prestigious “100 best songs in the world representing 2018”. On top of crafting original pop hits and chill beats, ANIMAL HACK also works alongside the trendiest up and coming artists such as SIRUP (their collaboration single “Days Gone By” was supported by starRo at the Twilight on the Pier festival in Santa Monica), and 4s4ki, gaining traction as one of Japan’s most quickly rising trackmakers, contributing innovative and refreshing concepts to the music industry. In 2021, “Clubhouse (feat. CHICO CARLITO, Mitsuki Aoyama),” the first song co-written with DJ/music producer TAAR on the voice SNS Clubhouse (application) in Japan was released . This Song’s Remix projects have been participated by many artists such as ☆Taku(m-flo/block fm), AmPm, TiMT(PEARL CENTER/Mime), and others, and their activities have been wide-ranging, including proposing new ways of creating music and new methods of expression itself.
