Animation Unplugged is a cooperation project between the Animation and Film Music Department at Filmuniversity Babelsberg developed by Gil Alkabetz and Chandra Fleig and currently realised by Anna Samo and Chandra Fleig.

Every Animation Unplugged season consists of 8-15 short animation films which were realised within 5 days including all aspects of production and a screening in the cinema. More than 90 films have been produced until now. Some of them in collaboration with HSLU Luzern - The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

Animation Unplugged films have been shown on national and international film festivals such as DOK Leipzig, Berlinale and Cannes Film Festival and won several prices.
