Inspired by a combination of arts - drawing and music writing, all along with mind-expanding readings, Stardust Beings was conceived over the past three years of countless hours of studio experimentation. The sounds on it, pretty much just like every other thing in the universe, are unstoppably mutating from one form into another. Rising and falling. Constructing for the sole sake of destruction. Starting and restarting. Germinating just to die next.

Challenged to create something new, what differentiates the tone of my debut album is the fact of having short breaks - if any. Drops out of a busy moment, trying to avoid the g'old formula 'break-rise-drop' every now and then - which by the way works fine and most certainly have not been forgotten. Also, loads of squelchy bubbles and glitched percussion get constantly trapped by dry & fat basslines. Obscure detuned leads meet bright and obvious melodies. But above all and despite the bpm or whichever sub-genre it fits into, the piece definitely seeks psychedelia all the way.

Striving to blend night elements into progressive oriented tracks and highly influenced by Ireland's psychedelic music scene, the mood gets darker and faster as the album goes on. Kicking off with a prog-groovysh feel, Nebulae presents a clean track and a melodic progressive vibe. It soon gets a bit darker and definitely straighter as Chaotic Protostar kicks in (first a collaboration with Adults & Basstards, then a solo track). The following one just Keep Rolling with a straight bassline as an invite to the fullonish From Where We Begin (with Squee) that takes the scene next. Then two tunes setting foot on fullon vibes are Main Sequence and Stardust Beings - the latter a collab with Dexter Psychedelic and Smuga. After peaking at 144 bpm, there is another collab track made with my Irish friend Sionnach for On The Verge with a bright-darkish vibe. On the other side of the edge, a collab with legend Lah Narrad and Hypknotoad, Supernova Type I sets the tone for the last trance music of the album with just about enough darkness. Finally, downtempo bonus track Gamma-ray Bursts peacefully closes the cycle that gave roots for this work.

Animistic vs Lah Narrad vs Hypknotoad - Supernova Type I

Always love to warm up the dancefloor and build up for the upcoming night. It is especially nice to take the stage from another genre - there was some drum&bass - and educate people into psytrance =D
Starting at 138 and going all the way up to 145 is fantastic - a real trip through the substyles that I love the most. I love how old classics always find a way into my sets, most often than not on the form of fresh remixes. On top of that I got the chance to road test multiple new tracks from my other half @animisticlive <3 <3 <3  Enjoy the journey!

The Adults Want Psytrance @ Fuinneamh - Ireland, September 2019

Animistic a.k.a. Vinicius Kienen has been producing electronic music since 2011 and since then has been working on a range of progressive and fullonish sounds with a pinch of night elements. Lately developed a quite peculiar style mixing progressive, full-on with a bit of darker influences to create an unique psychedelic live set for transitions from lighter afternoons into faster nights (as well as merging dark nights into bright mornings on the other way round). His solo project comes after being experiencing dancefloors all over Ireland and UK playing his DJ set project The Adults Want Psytrance (@tawp). His first authorial project with a few releases is Adults & Basstards (@AdultsAndBasstards).

An·i·mism 
1. The belief in the existence of individual spirits that inhabit natural objects and phenomena.
2. The belief in the existence of spiritual beings that are separable or separate from bodies.
3. The hypothesis holding that an immaterial force animates the universe.

"After being producing for a few years, I decided it was time to take it on my solo journey and then Animistic was born and it was time to pack my latest productions into my debut album (still with loads of collabs where all the fun is haha). Though it's hard to describe your own 'style', what is differentiating Mr. Animistic is not having breaks too long (if any), also drops out of a busy moment, trying to avoid the g'old formula 'break-drop-break-drop' every now and then. Loads of squelchy bubbles and glitched percussion have been getting trapped by dry & fat basslines, and despite the BPM or the subgenre, it will definitely seek psychedelia all the way. Since I've started this magical path into learning music on all ends (from theory to after producing through DJying), I've met with incredible people who shortened my learnership a lot and made Animistic a reality. I've taken private lessons with Alex Story more than once on his educational project Futurephonic (which is incredible amazing, just look for anything they put out, it will be great). Yellow DJ Academy/Audio Institute from my hometown Curitiba have helped me first with basic DJ lessons back in 2010 as well as with Edson Borth for private tuition on mixing & mastering mid 2013, all at Yellow studios. Next big helper was Walton's New School of Music (Dublin), where I took music theory & piano lessons.  I would definitely mention online tuition from Futurephonic (Tristan's live masterclass as well as having access to top notch tutorials from E-Clip, Protoculture, Bonen, etc) and from PsiloCybian. Last but not the least, every collab I've ever done have helped a lot (special thanks here to Pedro Squee, Sionnach, Lah Narrad, Dexter Psychedelic, Fat Basstard, Interpeace, Nacif Seleme and many more)".
