Hey Janine!

Nice work on finding THIS, though it's just a little Easter egg - you will find no answers for the rest of the puzzle here.

But while you're in the area, I suppose I'll give you a quick tour of what this was...  0 :) 

It's mostly mushroom-fueled, needlessly dark ambience... but the way we made it is kinda neat! We took a semi-broken omnidirectional microphone that sounded like it was recording to a slightly wobbly tape, put it standing up between two full-stack guitar amps facing each other, and hit it with a bunch of gain so it would pick up everything. 

Then, my friend Luke and I proceeded to (rather highly) play "music" *at* each other with some hella down-tuned guitars and a bazillion effect pedals between us, then we took THAT and tried to arrange the literal hours of nonsense into something semi-coherent, and that's how we arrived at these! We understood nothing of EQ or mixing at this time, so its bassy af and not in the good way. 

8:44 - 10:30ish in Manic is my personal favorite bit - I made that cello sound on my guitar with an E-bow, a harmonizer pedal, and a cranked synth pedal. You can hear Luke kinda searching for the tempo, then he comes in with this haunting lead and its just... mwah. It goes on for far too long (like the rest of this project lol), but the last half of that track has always weirdly resonated with me.

Shout out to 3:54 in Cognitive Disturbance too, those dives are fucking gnarly.
