"Waiting" is the fruit of an artistic collaboration between Anisetta & Radio Alhara, a Palestinian online radio station broadcasting from Bethlehem since March 2020.

The "Waiting" series is a musical journey focusing on moments of stillness rather than on movement. Each "Waiting" set is a meditative dive into a different mood, with special guests coming to deepen the wonder even more.

The set moves from trip hop to UK rock with interludes of jazz and experimental music. It fills a moment of stillness with romantic wonder and grey melancholia.

"Waiting" x Radio Alhara - ep. 1 : Waiting in the Fog for Rima

Episode 2 of the "Waiting" musical series for Radio Alhara.

We invited the French DJ duo ManGroove to an hallucinogenic trip in a polymusical Maze. Together, we got lost in the Maze, and explored hand-in-hand all its artistic turns, with absolutely no rush to get out. We discovered contemporary jazz corners, shadows of ambient & electronic music, as well as traces of trip hop. The result is a 2 hours-long immersion which mirrors our current quest for harmony, at a time of unrest.

Episode 3 of the "Waiting" musical series for Radio Alhara.

The special guest Kermittta took us on a boat from Marseille to Luanda, with a stop by the Portuguese coast on the way south. At each port, we made new musical encounters, fell in love with different styles, and got influenced by inebriating rhythms. While waiting for the boat to come back, we put everything together, from bass music to amapiano, and from batida to hypnotic breaks.

Episode 4 of the "Waiting" musical series for Radio Alhara.

For this episode, the special guest SAB showed us what plays in her headphones when she's not on stage, and took us on a laid-back journey of broken jazz, cheesy R&B, and funky gems. For 90 precious minutes, we've been "Waiting" for Nothing, enjoying the present moment in our beloved new home of Marseille, discovering the queen's sound.

Episode 5 of the "Waiting" musical series for Radio Alhara.

We took our guest Horo for a trip to the past, back to the origins of the Anisetta project. Together, we spent one more night of smokes and low lights in our dusty shared room in Beirut, which seemed a space station from which to explore different musical galaxies. Waiting for the dawn to come, we blended deep house, downtempo and dub, with pinches of spices from Arab traditions, Turkey and as far as India.

Anisetta delivers eclectic musical experiences rooted in rhythm. Born at the crossroads of Italy and the Middle East, now based in the South of France, the project fuses Mediterranean percussion with modern electronic beats, constantly evolving with one core mission: to push boundaries and move audiences through the unexpected.

Member of the Marseille-based Neo Collectif, Anisetta contributes to the curatorship of Spazio and In Natura Festival.
