After the intimate original version, "Emporte-moi" returns in a breathtaking new shape reworked by DJ and producer OldNEO. This edit wraps Lotus Pastel’s whispered plea in hypnotic synth waves, slow-motion beats, and delicate electronic textures.

 A perfect balance between fragility and groove, between the need to escape and the rhythm that holds you back. Originally written as "Que la nuit m’oublie", the lyrics remain the same  but the energy transforms. 

A bonus track, a memory remix, a dance of shadows.

Emporte-moi

“Écoute” is a love letter to sound itself a space where the voice withdraws to let the music breathe. This track is a quiet, reverent tribute to the musicians behind the album 1994. Featuring the legendary saxophonist Agogo, the textured bass of Midi14, and the velvet organ of TT Williams, Anissa Boualem lets them take the lead. She whispers only three poetic lines across the entire piece, punctuated by the word “écoute” a call to truly listen, not just hear. This is not a song. It’s a ceremony.

Not everyone is on holiday, even in the heat of summer. Some still work while the city falls silent, stretched under a long, empty day. I can’t tell if the man expects something to happen; to me, it feels like nothing will happen today either. Anyway, everything's good.

This is the third in a series of eight easy, acoustic, rather short, and deliberately inconclusive tracks, assembled by combining new ideas with reworked older material, adding parts and sounds along the way.

I'm not complaining here just laying it bare so people can see what they get from an artist pro sub and so you can be realistic about it from as many angles as you can 🫡🔆

This regional reality annoys me. It incentivises artists to connect with people from larger economies effectively creating a caste system of sorts within the SoundCloud community. I don't do this, I connect based on the human being not where they are from or not based on the amount of followers they have.

That's probably the most disappointing thing to learn from this year, how they have a wedge between different levels of affluence in the way artists are rewarded making it harder for artists from regions either sanctioned or regions without an advertising revenue model to get heard. In my view we as artists should make an extra effort to connect with and lift those people up human to human and fuck the money❤️‍🔥 Bring the love instead. A good chunk of my top 10 artists musically here come from regions that fall into this apparent category SoundCloud align themselves with! So if good music is your priority like mine is, look further then the larger economic zones and your ears will thank you 🧬🎶🌍
