Jon returned in 2021, energised by the contemporary jungle and atmospheric sounds, with a new style and several releases in quick succession which merge atmospheric elements with timeless breaks to deliver a mix of both epic dancefloor jungle and serene melodies. Soaring amens, space-age synths and rolling bass combine perfectly in his music and DJ sets which draw on both the classic and modern jungle and atmospheric sounds, from time to time drawing on elements of old-skool breakbeat Hardcore and more mature Liquid and Autonomic vibes.

"Take It All The Way" is an atmospheric liquid drum and bass track with a determined vibe. A ticking clock introduces the track, symbolizing the passing of time, while a strong liquid beat adds a sense of determination. It blends deep sub-bass, warm pads, lush piano chords, warm brass, Rhodes licks, sinister synth sounds, and female vocal hooks to create a darker and moodier atmosphere.

I wish I could tell you where I met this weeks guest but I  haven't met him in person yet. I can tell you  that I have been playing the heck out of his  track Gunshine Rhythm since he sent it to me a while ago. I am sure our paths will cross soon. He's just heating up. He has a new track out on Rolled Up Records this morning as I write this. The future is looking especially bright for him. Please welcome RENDS!! Previously known as Alex M and Gon2Far, Alex Martinez established himself out of Miami in the 90's. After years of partnerships and performances, he moved on as an artist and began his Rends project in 2016. Since then, Alex has released on a variety of labels with forthcoming material on Natty Dub and Rolled up. Catch him this coming March at World of Drum and Bass during WMC along with exclusive performances throughout 2024. Please enjoy❤️
