Stunning concert from the dark music legends – Now available on double vinyl, a CD & DVD set, and a Blu-Ray.

Ulver returned in 2012 with their latest album Childhood's End. Early pioneers of Norwegian black metal, the band have continually evolved throughout their career and now stand as living legends of the dark music industry, blending rock, electronica, symphonic and chamber traditions along with noise and experimental music to create ground-breaking material.

Until recently however the band had remained exclusively within the studio. This changed in May 2009 when the band accepted an invitation to appear at the Norwegian Festival Of Literature. The success of this gig lead to them embarking on a string of other gigs in 2009 and 2010, selling out prestigious venues such as the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, Volksbühne in Berlin and La Cigale in Paris before they returned to their homeland for this landmark gig at The Norwegian Opera House.

The 2 hour concert married tracks from throughout the band's catalogue to stunning visuals to create a spectacle fitting for such a grand venue.

The track had already been given this as a working title during the early production stages, so it was on our minds as we worked on this soundscape, creating ambient vocals and soothing melodies to really carry the message of the song.

This is the first of two upcoming autumn releases with our long time collaborator and friend Simon Wester, this time on his moniker The Secret Place.

We hope its brings a feeling of stillness and peace, and that it ministers to you. We'd so appreciate you listening or downloading the track, and share with someone who might need to hear find some moments of calm today. We're thrilled to be releasing the first in a series of vocal ambient and instrumental works intended as music for prayer, reflection, meditation and stillness. 

This first track, entitled "A Prayer for Peace" can be interpreted as a prayer for peace within your heart, in your spheres of influence, or in our world. It's inspired by the following passage from Romans 12 -

"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves... If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone."

We hope this song brings peace, and is a tool for prayer and reflection on your spiritual journey.

The fifth release from the Bunte Kuh label is another winner: it comes from Bardia Salour and features three fresh originals with a remix from Peter Schumann. It's also set to be available on Vinyl release too. 

Salour is a German artist who runs his own esteemed events in Hamburg and has played all over Europe from Watergate in Berlin to Culture Box in Copenhagen. His dub infused style is utterly distinctive and these new cuts prove that once more. 

North Scapes opens up with a molten, acid tinged bassline. As it grows more wild there are icy hi hat loops layered in with some big piano chords to finish it in style and mean the floor will really go wild. Liquid Lava is more direct, with hard hitting techno kicks and deft synth sounds colouring in the grooves. Then comes the excellent Urban Signals, a dramatic, dubbier cut with cavernous bottom ends and subtle, supple synths layering in warmth and atmosphere. Last of all, Peter Schumann's LSD25 Restyle of North Scapes pairs it back to a warm, bubbly warm up house tune that will get you moving with its sonar blips and nice, deep cut and churning drums. 

All four of these tracks are fresh and classy efforts sure to make their mark.
