Named after the weekly *Dubmission* parties at the storied E-Werks nightclub, the latest release from *Anja Schneider* relays the sounds of her earliest musical experiences in 1990s Berlin, where DJs like Kid Paul powered the party, and amplifies the techno spirit of the old electrical substation for broadcast worldwide.

Further transmissions are detected within the bubbling techno of “Revolution,” inspired by the political upheaval throughout the world, as well as shifts within the dance music scene itself, and on *“Can You Feel It,”* which features a spoken word dispatch by vocalist *Parsifal Marin* of Brussels Pony Club that continues the long house music tradition of club tunes about rave experiences.

From Mr. Finger to Miss Kittin to Seth Troxler, many of the most memorable cuts in house music history spell out, with spoken words, the experience of clubbing while in the club itself. Meta-musical moment found to be effective on the dance floor. So it goes with “Can You Feel It,” the latest by Anja Schneider to pay homage to the Chicago greats, following last spring’s Ron Hardy-inspired “Hey,” which became an instant fave when Anja dropped it at the always in demand Mobilee rooftop parties in Barcelona.

Expect the same response in summer 2014, when “Dubmission,” and flipsides “Can You Feel It” and “Revolution,” hit the ears of sun-kissed partiers worldwide.

With another stellar year under her belt, Anja Schneider is hitting 2016 in inspired form. A new year means a fresh sound for the Berliner, who is diving deep into her record collection to draw inspiration from a variable palette of sounds from across the years. 

The accomplished three tracker kicks off with ‘Soul Traveler’, a rich jazzy vocal-led techno cut that shakes with Schneider’s unmistakable groove. Deeply nuanced and analogue-driven, ‘Vintage’ mixes up low humming bass, multi-layered drums and melodic chords for a beautiful deep techno offering. ‘Bay Side’ drips with atmosphere and is the artist’s brilliant twist on tech funk, driven by punchy keys, intricate drums and cascading synth hook that builds the tempo towards a satisfying dancefloor-ready crescendo.

When we first caught wind of German Brigante a couple years back we knew he was on to something - it had everything to do with his focus on ‘a bumping, groovy form of tech house that aims straight for your hips and keeps dancefloors filled with energy’. It is this focus that has landed him a few high profile releases with labels like Get Physical Music, Saved, Monaberry or Kittball throughout the past couple years. 
Now, once more we welcome the young Spaniard and his debut album ‘Bipolar’ to Get Physical Music.
‘Bipolar’ is a 10 track (including intro, interlude and outro) selection of some of the producers best work to date. Set for a double vinyl release (digital to follow), the album also features vocals from Nick Maurer and collaborations with Synsethyzer and fellow Get Physical artist, FreakMe. Whether you hear it on vinyl, stream, or mp3, here’s what’s in store for you…
The first notes belong to ‘Synopsis’, introducing the album with a warm bath of pads and synthwork before getting down to business with Nick Maurer in ‘The Ones’. A soft number, with a delicate and melancholic atmosphere, the track utilizes numerous elements that give the track a beautiful early synth-pop feel as Nick Maurer’s vocals do the rest. 
Moving along, we’re treated to another scene-setting synth-bath before hitting ‘Microluxe (808 Instrumental Mix)’. Again here, German Brigante puts his deliciously retro touch on the track. Big synths, classic percussion take us to a beautiful place in the late night world of the artist. 
FreakMe and Synsethyzer join in for the next track. ‘We Got it’, the collaborative effort between the three has proven to be extremely fruitful, with another fantastic and dynamic track to put your local dancefloor into a frenzy.
‘So Good’ was teased a few months back in EP form with solid remixes. The track appears here too, in its original, gut-grinding, foot-tapping glory. 
German Brigante takes the energy down a bit for the next track, employing thick, deep, dark synths laid out under a warm canvas of pads and percussion while the sequences slowly rise to ’30 Degrees’.
‘Memories (Get Physical Edition)’ is another dark and frantic number that delivers heavy dose of tech-house to the album and brings the energy back up and our feet to the dancefloor. 
Before the outro takes us down gently and returns us to where we came from, German Brigante has one more trick up his sleeve, ‘Be Right Back’. Here the artist takes us on one last adventure through the night with another solid dance track.
Bipolar has turned out to be a wonderful example of how the synth-savvy producer masterfully forges and arranges his creations to get a result that is more the just the sum of its components. We’re absolutely thrilled to share this with you and are looking forward to what the future brings for German Brigante.

As an artist with already a lot of very successful material to his name, Rodriguez Jr.’s debut album Bittersweet is a highly anticipated release. There are in fact many reasons why people should hold their breath for it - an impressive 11 track body of work that features some of the well renowned and loved Rodriguez Jr. sonic traits, as well as a lot of new and previously unchartered musical ground. It simultaneously presents techno, atmospheric dub, hypnotic, melancholy and hands down hedonistic music, and with a focus on exploring textures and moods, there is something here for everyone to get lost in.

Rodriguez Jr., aka Oliver Mateu, was originally introduced to music through radio in the south of France, where he closely followed a selection of 80s bands, as well as forming a strong love for synthesizers. It wasn’t long before he was inspired to start his own group with partner Giles Escoffier ‘The Youngsters’, which quickly signed to Laurent Garnier’s F-Communications, taking them to some of the biggest clubs and festivals around the world. After great success, the project was put on hold and over the last five years Mateu has been given the space to focus more on his solo work and finally the opportunity to create an album.

In spite of his French origins, both Olivier Mateu's artist name and productions lean more towards his father's Spanish roots, with a Mediterranean warmth and party atmosphere often coming to the fore. Bittersweet, however, embodies influences from all over the world. Inspired during recent trips to Japan, Canada and Europe, the voyaging Rodriguez Jr. accompanied by his laptop lay down ideas in hotel rooms after playing in clubs and absorbed the different environments around him into his work. With each country creating a new experience, his touring has played a big part in the variety of tracks that are presented here.

Whilst the spice of Bittersweet was captivated in far away places, the main body of the production of the album was carried out in Mateu’s hidden away studio in Belgium, filled with many loved pieces of analogue gear and synthesizers. Ranging from the Roland TR909, for a classic house drum feel, to the Korg MS10 for dirtier sounds, and a selection of Roland keyboards to choose from, “I am definitely a synth fetishist! Ahaha!” (Rodriguez Jr.). Each has contributed in Rodriguez Jr.’s quest to create an artistic project of the highest quality and creativity that he is capable of, with outstanding results. He has also drawn on the creative input of two musicians who are featured in two of the tracks – And.Id playing his trumpet and Cari Golden’s vocals.

A masterpiece that truly reflects the Rodriguez Jr. of today, it also offers us enough variety and surprise to keep us inspired by this ever-evolving artist. Reflecting on the tracks Bittersweet refers to the contradictory forces at play within the music – it may be beautiful and it may be sweet – but be careful of the party animal it can unleash both in the creator and within all of you present on the dancefloor!

Finnish DJ and producer Otto Yliperttula (aka Yotto) caught our imaginations alight with his stellar debut album ‘Hyperfall’ last September, charting as a No. 1 Dance/Electronic album on Billboard and earning support from Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Eric Prydz, and many other heavyweights in the dance world. The next chapter sees an acclaimed host of producers add their own sound to the ‘Hyperfall’ story.

‘Hear Me Out’ receives separate remixes from Mobilee Records head Anja Schneider and Berlin producer Kevin de Vries to open proceedings. Schneider incorporates the sublime vocals of Laudic to full effect over a driving bass groove, whilst De Vries’s adapts the original’s bright melodies to his characteristic techno style.

German artists Monkey Safari and Ruede Hagelstein build on Yotto’s original brooding arrangement for ‘Turn It Around’ in contrasting fashions; Monkey Safari adding a trademark sunshine sheen of bubbly arpeggios, while Ruede Hagelstein’s ‘Rise Again’ remix places mechanised vocoders atop a menacing bassline.

‘Kantsu’ receives a minimal reinterpretation from Parisian electro artist Chloé, while SØNIN captures the understated euphoria of ‘The One You Left Behind’ through an inventive club re-work.
