When I saw this years theme for the cymatics 2021 producer week competition was guitar samples, I knew I had to enter.  I took the Melbourne guitar samples from the lofi pack and added a bass line and the rest just kept building off of this.  I decided to throw in some samples from a public domain propaganda film, beyond LSD, from the 60s to really go along with that trippy funky lofi vibe, and added in my own guitar and piano as well. Had a lot of fun making this!

Our monsters, and how we overcome them, is ultimately our own choice. With thrashing guitars, thick drums, and a heartbeat kick, "Monster" is here to shake you awake from your nightmares with powerful and anthemic vocals from Anji Kaizen. This song is about someone giving in to their Monster within - featuring screams from Cameron Berner, a metal vocalist of the Atlanta music scene. Releasing on October 29th, just in time for Halloween, this is Anji Kaizen's most hard rock / intense song to date.

A nostalgic pop punk single that glistens with gorgeous production saturated with layers of harmonies, "Blink" is a wistful escape back to the 90s and early 2000s alternative rock scene. An energetic twist on the classic Evanescence song, Anji Kaizen and Tik Tok guitarist Ricky Jab bring a fresh take of the song featuring a shredding guitar solo, powerful rap vocals from Seiyah and gorgeous layers of synthesizers and harmonies. Originally recorded for Lonely Ghost Record's "00's Compilation Album" to raise money for charity, it was such a fan favorite that the three artists are now releasing the song worldwide.
