Inspired by and a celebration of Nova Scotia, the small coastal province in Eastern Canada that he calls home, '44° North, 63° West' sees Dezza aka Derek Silvester at his musical best. Featuring singles 'Settle', 'Getaway' and 'Carry Me', this sophomore effort is a glorious collection of progressive house productions that puts Dezza at the forefront of the genre, cementing his name as one of its most important creators.

He builds here on the success of his debut artist album 'Cosmos', released in 2019 which featured standout tracks 'Cold Outside', 'Honey' and 'Expanse', and saw him tour the world from Australia to the Netherlands to the U.S. In sharp contrast, 2020, like it was for so many, was spent largely in isolation by Dezza, who turned to the beauty and nature of his surroundings in the Nova Scotia wilderness for inspiration and comfort. The result was nineteen tracks that look outward, with Dezza finding joy in his unique environment; this is reflected in the album's tracks that are tied together by a common theme of optimism and bliss through upbeat chord progressions, driving percussion and airy, floating synths. 

He recruits a host of impressive collaborators to breathe further life into his productions, including vocalists from around the world like Lauren L'aimant, EMME, Dan Soleil, HEBE, Lewyn, Møøne and Mike Schmid, who bring their own perspectives and stories to '44° North, 63° West' with their first-rate performances.

Anjunabeats veteran Damion Houchen, aka Genix, returns to the label with ‘Dance It Out’. 

A label mainstay for over a decade, Damo is behind some of Anjunabeats’ best-known tracks. ‘Run’, ‘Arrival’ (with Sunny Lax) and his super-collaboration ‘All In’ with Fatum, Jaytech & Judah are all outstanding moments in our discography.

Damo’s sound has evolved over the years, but his abilities as a DJ and a producer continue to impress. His Anjunabeats Worldwide 09 compilation was a triumph, cementing his place at the forefront of modern tech-trance. Damo’s most impressive performance to date saw him being awarded a Guinness World Record for the highest DJ set on land at Mount Everest’s base camp.

Damo’s latest offering, ‘Dance It Out’, is a modern twist on the 90s rave music that he grew up listening to.

‘Over the past year, I’ve been listening to a lot of the old vinyl records that got me into dance music. Artists such as Underworld, Leftfield, The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers really made an imprint on me. I’ve always tried to stay true to the sounds that I love and use them in my productions, so I’ve been focusing on the particular sounds that made me fall in love with electronic music over 20 years ago. I have produced a LOT of music this last year, and I’ve been trying to discover how those sounds made me feel, and incorporate that into my music of today.’ - Genix

Luke Middleton, aka Borderland State, is an artist from Queensland that’s got us very excited at Anjuna HQ in London. He won Triple J’s ‘Unearthed’ remix competition in 2018, and went on to support Cassian, Crooked Colours and MUTO on the road. Over the last two decades, Above & Beyond and their label Anjunabeats have launched the careers of some of the most respected names in electronic music: Andrew Bayer, ARTY, Audien, ilan Bluestone, Seven Lions and Mat Zo to name just a few. In January 2021, the label launched Anjunabeats Rising: a new EP series highlighting the next generation of producers and championing emerging artists from around the world. 

OTIOT, Co.Fi and March 13 feature on the latest edition in the series, Anjunabeats Rising Volume 5.

Israeli engineer Eliran Hasan, aka OTIOT, started his musical career at the age of 14. Formerly one half of psytrance duo OxiDaksi, 2018 saw him venture out on his own as OTIOT. He’s remixed Elysian’s ‘Moonchild’, and collaborated with ilan Bluestone and Maor Levi on ‘Three Kings’, which landed on ilan’s latest artist album ‘Impulse’. ‘Void’ sees OTIOT team up with singer-songwriter Lovlee.

Seattle-based producer Co.Fi makes his Anjunabeats debut with ‘We Don’t Stop’. Co-Fi has released multiple times on Elliptical Sun Recordings, with ‘Down ‘n’ Around’ receiving support from Above & Beyond on Group Therapy Radio.

Rounding off the EP is another brand new Anjunabeats signing: Nikolay Morozov, aka March 13.

GRAMMY-nominated duo Fatum return to their club sound on the ‘Shapeshifter EP’.

Fatum have been label regulars since ‘Mandala’ in 2015. Some of their label hits include, ‘Chocolate’, a cover of Tangerine Dream’s 'Love On A Real Train’, and super collaboration ‘All In’ with Genix, Jaytech & Judah. They’re also prolific remixers, with reworks of Above & Beyond, 3LAU, Gabriel & Dresden, BT & Matt Fax and more under their belt.

Over the past year, Fatum embraced their digital community. They stream regularly on Twitch, and host regular hangouts with fans in their Discord server. Their ‘Stream Starting Soon EP’, released on Anjunabeats in May 2021, was dedicated to their passionate online following.

In the words of Above & Beyond: “Fatum make tracks that demand a big stage”. The ‘Shapeshifter EP’ was created with that in mind – tracks from the EP have been road tested at Group Therapy 450 by A&B, Electric Zoo and EDC Las Vegas. Fatum has also joined Tony, Paavo and Jono on the Anjunafamily Reunion Tour in Miami, Minneapolis and Las Vegas.

The Andrew Bayer odyssey continues. 2019 has seen the Berklee-educated artist reach impressive new heights; reinventing the calm, informed electronica of his third studio album ‘In My Last Life’, into a set of club-focused remakes with ‘In My Next Life’.
