Acid-edged summer hit ‘Stay’ introduces Natalie Shay to the dance music world, also lending her voice to the anthemic LP closer ‘Afterglow’. ‘Running’ sees Grum partner with the soulful voice of London’s Jinadu, while Dom Youdan muses on the monotony of modern life with ‘Tomorrow’. ‘Home’, featuring Nicole Dash Jones, provides a deeper moment the mix, before the intensity of ‘Genesis’ and ‘Altered State’ take over.

Since his remix of Ferry Tayle & Static Blue's Trapeze and Tritonal's Utopia, Arty has been the producer everyone wants, and subsequent remixes for the likes of the scenes biggest names, Above & Beyond, Kyau & Albert and Paul van Dyk, and his Beatport No. 1 remix of D-Mad on Enhanced Progressive has cemented his position at the top of the newcomers from the past year. Back on Enhanced Progressive with another brilliant Original, Arty turns out two versions of Twilight Tonight. ilan had a busy 2022: he wrapped up his 'Impulse' tour in support of his second studio album, delivered an incredible set at Group Therapy Weekender London, and worked hard on new music in between touring the globe.

Grum’s ‘Deep State’ transmissions resume...
Conspiracy theories have been running wild around the disappearance of Graeme Shepherd a.k.a. Grum’s second (or is that third) artist L.P. ‘Deep State’. Announced late in 2018, the album vanished. While he cannot confirm nor deny some of the more colourful conjecture around the album’s withdrawal, Grum and Anjunabeats are pleased to announce that ‘Deep State’ is back, rewired and reinvigorated for 2019.

Reflecting the unsettling times we live in, ‘Deep State’ has moments of light and dark. It’s a showcase of Grum’s ability to craft pitch-black progressive and immersive vocal pop. The 10-track album is a refined take on the current state of progressive trance.

A throwback to the riff-heavy rave sounds of the 90s, the first broadcast from ‘Deep State’ is ‘Stay’. As heard on Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats Volume 14 mix compilation, this saturnine warehouse cut was a popular set opener this summer. ‘Stay’ features a haunting vocal from British singer Nathalie Shay, who you can also hear on ‘Afterglow’.

Released last September, Jordi van Achthoven and Micha Heyboer’s (aka Tinlicker) debut album ’This Is Not Our Universe’ took our world by storm, jumping to #1 on iTunes Dance upon release. A beautifully crafted journey through Jordi and Micha’s wide-ranging palette of progressive house and trance, the album featured an evergreen remix of alt-J’s ‘Breezeblocks’ as well as vocal singles ‘Lost’ and ’Need You’.

Their subsequent ’This Is Not Our Universe’ tour saw the pair traverse the globe in support of the album, including pitstops at Above & Beyond’s ABGT350 celebrations in Prague and the Anjunabeats UK tour.

Continuing the ’This Is Not Our Universe’ story, we welcome a host of remixes to the label from artists both old and new to the Anjunafamily. Fresh off his latest album ‘Deep State’ and setting up his Deep State Recordings imprint, Scottish producer Grum's progressive outlook on ‘Close Your Eyes’ has been a favourite in both his own and Tinlicker’s recent sets. With several heavy-hitting releases on Anjunadeep as of late, Spanish producer Dosem also joins the fray, contributing a deeper remix of ‘Vanishing’. To round off the package, Utrecht natives Deeparture and Tom Zeta tackle ‘Bird Feeder’ and ‘When The Light Fades’ respectively, whilst French producer and ‘Superset' pioneer Joris Delacroix adds his distinct melodic house flavour onto ‘Lost'.

Argentinian producer Tomas Heredia presents the ‘Before The Ashes EP’.

A rising star of the South American electronic music scene, the ‘Before The Ashes EP’ is Tomas’ second solo release on the label. His label debut ‘Gave U My Love’ was released in November 2020, and was supported by Above & Beyond, Andrew Rayel, Ruben de Ronde and Ørjan Nilsen. 

Tomas regularly supports Above & Beyond when they tour Argentina, most recently at Mar Del Plata in 2019. Long-term fans may recognise Tomas from his ‘At Sunrise’ remix of Above & Beyond and Richard Bedford’s ‘On My Way To Heaven’, released in 2012.

Alongside a pair of new productions from Tomas, the ‘Before The Ashes EP’ also contains a new remix of ‘Gave U My Love’, from veteran producer Mike Saint-Jules.
