Anjunabeats veteran Damion Houchen, aka Genix, unveils the ‘Praha EP’.

We're delighted to bring you '1986 - The Remixes' - a collection of eleven remixes by some of trance and progressive's brightest names of highlight cuts from Steve Brian's excellent '1986' album.

There's an eclectic mix of textures and sounds across the eleven tracks, with Myon's signature Summer of Love mix of Sweet Little Lies leading the pack. Sendr's remix of the title track and Johan Vilborg's remix of 'Sweet Little Lies' sees them explore a chilled prog trance sound, while Karanda, Dan Stone and Somna bring a bigger trance sound to their remixes, and Leonard A brings his signature cruching basslines and hands-in-the-air synths.

There's a distinct modern progressive sound from Cubicore, whilst Disfunktion shakes things up with a big melodic remix. Wrapping things up is Bryn Liedl with a techno-heavy remix of 'The 90's' and Rodrigo Deem & Maximo Lasso keep things floaty, organic and ethereal on their prog house take of 'Lie To Yourself'.

Miika Eloranta and Janne Manserus, aka Super8 & Tab, have been part of our family for over 15 years. They began collaborating on music in 2005, and the magic was instant. The likes of ‘Black Is The New Yellow’, ‘Helsinki Scorchin’ and ‘Irufushi’ have stood the test of time.

They have remixed Above & Beyond’s Tranquility Base classic ‘Oceanic’, and most recently delivered a mix for the 20 Years of Anjunabeats compilation series. 

Super8 & Tab kick off the remix package with their own 2021 update of ‘My Enemy’, feat. Julie Thompson. Known for their earth-shaking remixes of Gabriel & Dresden and Armin van Buuren, San Francisco’s Elevven add another mix to their formidable arsenal with their take on title track ‘Empire’. 

Three Anjunabeats newcomers make up the rest of the EP. KhoMha’s high-octane sounds have landed him on stages at Tomorrowland, Ultra, Global Gathering and A State Of Trance. 'Roger Martinez's Higher States begins the new year by welcoming Simos Tagias to the label for his debut EP. As one of the most recognized names in progressive house, the Greek artist has landed releases on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Cid Inc's Replug Records. The Athens resident has continued to explore the creative realms of the genre in recent years, expanding his repertoire to it's more techno inspired derivatives, while never losing sight of his much-loved melodic sound. Now following a remix for Proton Music to begin the new year, Simos makes his first appearance on Higher States with 'Waterdrop / Fluxer'.

Approaching a decade-long production career, Simos continues to flourish, earning praise from the underground's elite DJs. The smooth, evocative vibes of 'Waterdrop' get the release underway and appear set for a similar fate. Following a prelude of warm beats, hip swinging percussion and wavy arps, comes redolent rhythms and soulful swells. Tastefully timeless and evolving with an energetic prowess, it's a spacious lead theme which shifts the narrative further into transcendent territory. Wispy effects and fragmented vocals add depth and emotion, coming to full fruition during the main break and elegantly peaking for a spirited final act.

Completing the release in fine fashion are the dreamy tech-vibes of 'Fluxer'. Showcasing a tighter rhythmic prowess than its predecessor, it's compact core and rippling low end aim squarely for the dance floor; while an airy resonance delivers a subtle yet powerful emotional response. Smooth and evocative, its seductive cadence pushes forward into a charming break, blanketed with glowing pads and iridescent effects, before ultimately melting down into a chugging finale. It rounds out a stunning two track showcase from Simos, setting the course for what should be an excellent year for the Greek artist.'
