Over the last two decades, Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats label has launched the careers of some of the most respected names in electronic music: Andrew Bayer, ARTY, Audien, ilan Bluestone, Seven Lions and Mat Zo, to name just a few. In January 2021, the label launched Anjunabeats Rising: a new EP series highlighting the next generation of producers and championing emerging artists from around the world.

Oësha & Almero, Dokho and Paul Arcane feature on the latest edition in the series, Anjunabeats Rising Volume 7.

‘Desire’ is the debut release from Oësha, aka Maurice van der Molen. As one half of Magnificence, he’s been supported by Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto, Alesso, and many more. The Oësha project sees van der Molen step out on an exciting new stage of his career. ‘Desire’ sees Oësha join forces with French producer Almero, who has landed previous releases on Revealed Recordings, Label X and Arise Records. 

Dokho is the new melodic house alias from Belgian producer Fast Distance. Under his original moniker, Fast Distance has received support from Armin van Buuren, Tiësto and Above & Beyond, who have featured his releases on Group Therapy Radio. He makes his Anjunabeats debut with ‘Journey’, following an EP on Colorize earlier in 2021.

Rounding the latest Anjunabeats Rising EP is Paul Arcane. Paul is a producer who has been in our orbit for several years - he provided a Guest Mix for Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Radio in 2018. It’s a pleasure to welcome him onto the label with ‘Sisu’.

Above & Beyond's latest dance anthem, 'Chains' (feat. Marty Longstaff), is out August 18 through Anjunabeats.

Premiered during the band's Group Therapy 450 celebration at The Drumsheds London last September, 'Chains' is Above & Beyond's second single of 2022 with singer Marty Longstaff, following the release of 'Gratitude'.

'Chains' has been a mainstay in Above & Beyond's sets this past year, played extensively during their 70,000 ticket-selling Anjunafamily Reunion Tour and at festivals across the US and Europe this summer. The band recently headlined their Group Therapy Weekender festival at The Gorge Amphitheatre, WA, which welcomed 22,000 revellers. 

'Chains' is one of two original Above & Beyond productions to appear on their Anjunabeats Volume 16 compilation, alongside 'Projection'. 

Also performing as The Lake Poets, Marty Longstaff rose to prominence with the moving acoustic ballad ‘Shipyards’. The song accompanies the opening credits to the sleeper hit Netflix documentary, ’Sunderland ’Till I Die’. The Sunderland born singer-songwriter is also the voice of Above & Beyond's 'Tightrope', 'Flying By Candlelight’ and 'Gratitude'.

"Man Of The Moment" is a term often used, but we feel there is absolutely no other way of describing the young Russian right now. Since his remix of Ferry Tayle & Static Blue's Trapeze and Tritonal's Utopia, Arty has been the producer everyone wants, and subsequent remixes for the likes of the scenes biggest names, Above & Beyond, Kyau & Albert and Paul van Dyk, and his Beatport No. 1 remix of D-Mad on Enhanced Progressive has cemented his position at the top of the newcomers from the past year. Back on Enhanced Progressive with another brilliant Original, Arty turns out two versions of Twilight Tonight. The Original Mix falls in a similar vein to that of his last two EP's on Enhanced, whilst the Arty Remode vamps up the atmosphere with Arty's trademark power chords with rich pads and synths sending the emotion into orbit. Remixes come from two of Enhanced Prog's favourites, MoodFreak and D-Mad. Spencer Brown & Artem Stolyarov (aka Arty / ALPHA 9) unveil their new collaborative EP, ‘Ariel / Afterlife’.

Debuted during Spencer’s set at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 350 celebrations in Prague, this is the second time Spencer and Artem have joined forces, ‘No Going Back’ from 2018. ‘Ariel’ also featured on ‘Anjunabeats Volume 15’, mixed by Above & Beyond.

Spencer has, quietly, had one of his most prolific years to date: he released a full artist album in January, followed by two companion EPs, a collaboration with fellow San Franciscan Qrion and co-produced the title track of Ben Bohmer’s ‘Phases’ EP.  Spencer recently hosted a charity livestream in San Francisco that raised over $8000 for the family of SB-fan Greg Cohen and the Sarcoma Foundation.

Meanwhile, Arty’s ALPHA 9 project has gone from strength to strength in 2020. He’s released a string of singles on Anjunabeats across the summer and contributed no less than three tracks to Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats Volume 15 compilation album. 

We’re excited to say there is much, much more in the pipeline from ALPHA 9 to come this year.
