GRAMMY-nominated duo Fatum present 'Angels Cry' (feat. Mars Atlas), lifted from their Anjunabeats Worldwide 10 mix compilation and out now.

Ubiquitous on Anjuna over the last decade in various guises, Bruce Karlsson and Daniel Davis have been responsible for an abundance of catalogue classics. Bruce was an architect of the electro-tinged grooves that made Norin & Rad a tour-de-force throughout the early 2010s with the likes of ‘Bloom’, ‘Pistol Whip’ and ‘Thundercat’. Dan, crate-digger and intricate melody maker as Judah (w/ Chris Nelson), responsible for the likes of ‘Boss Fight’, ‘Nomad’ and ‘Zero-Day’.

Following in the footsteps of Anjuna superstars Mat Zo, ARTY, ilan Bluestone and Grum, their Anjunabeats Worldwide 10 compilation arrived in May 2022. A 21 track journey championing the past, present and future sound of the label, the compilation featured five Fatum original productions, including 'Angels Cry'.

'Angels Cry' is Fatum's second collaboration with vocalist and producer Mars Atlas (one-half of electronic pop duo Forts), following 'Deserve It' in October 2021.

"When Mars Atlas sent us this vocal, it was more than just lyrics - it was a musical story. This story was very close and personal to both of us, so the goal was to translate this dark yet ethereal message in a way that would do it justice. This record is a great representation of where we are at musically as Fatum, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome."

It's been almost three years since I dropped Musicality IX. I see this compilation series as a personal expression. Not just from compiling music that I admire but a reflection on who I am and where I am during the time of its release.
 
Volume IIX came to you during the 2020 Covid outbreak, then IX dropped ten years since my first. This means I haven’t expressed my musical passion with you all since 2021! We took a trip down memory lane with IX and even deeper with Classic House & Trance for the ‘Classic Edition’, so I wanted to make sure X had a greater meaning, offering a bigger impact.
 
I'm excited to share Musicality X with you. I think it captures something special. Even if I do not reach a lot of streams or downloads, none of that matters. I enjoy listening back to Musicality, as a self-reflection and a musical archive.
 
It doesn’t matter who the artists are, the labels, the speed, the genre, when the songs were released or even the musical direction; what does matter to me is the musical impact. There’s musicality in everything. Musicality is the quality of having a pleasant sound, all I ask from you, is to listen.
