San Francisco’s Luttrell shares his latest EP ‘Music For My Memories Pt. II’. The second in a trilogy of works to be shared throughout 2021, the forthcoming EP follows on from the success of lead single ‘Operation Midnight’, which saw support from Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1. 
  
Since launching his Luttrell project in 2016, he has become an an Anjunadeep fan favourite, and produced some of the label’s most memorable moments including ‘Intergalactic Plastic’, ‘Contact’ and ‘Need You’, which all won resounding support from BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard, Annie Mac and Pete Tong. The past three years have seen Eric release two acclaimed LPs, his debut ‘Into Clouds’ and follow up ‘Lucky Ones’, along with a wave of well-received singles and remixes for the likes of Moby, Jai Wolf, Catching Flies and Above & Beyond; amassing him 55 million streams across his catalogue to date.

Fusing Jordi’s polished pop and house production with Micha’s deep sonic palette, honed as a member of drum and bass group Black Sun Empire, Tinlicker has created groove-heavy progressive since 2013. Igniting dancefloors with ‘Lost’ feat. Run Rivers earlier this summer, the second single from the album is a long-awaited remix of alt-J’s ‘Breezeblocks’. A platinum-selling hit, the original has been streamed over 320 million times on Spotify since its release on 2012’s 'An Awesome Wave LP’.

A melting pot of deep house, progressive and trance, ‘This Is Not Our Universe’ also boasts a lineup of eclectic vocalists.
The album includes an evergreen remix of alt-J’s hit ‘Breezeblocks’, recent single ‘Lost’ feat. Run Rivers, and slow-burning festival smash ‘Need You’ alongside regular collaborator Thomas Oliver.

“This is actually our first album together. Our characters are quite different. This album is the result of those two different characters and the tension that arises in the search for the balance between the two of us. Many tracks on the album have the same character but are still different from each other. A nice reflection of how we are as people.”

Following on from the triumphant revival of ‘Deep State’ with the mesmerising ’Stay’ - recently remixed by our very own Genix - Graeme Shepherd, aka Grum, is back with another taste of what’s to come from his forthcoming sophomore album. Reflecting Grum’s eclectic set of influences at play throughout ‘Deep State’, ’Tomorrow’ showcases his proven ability to balance ethereal vocals with the darker energies of progressive trance.

Breakout star Berlin-based producer and live artist Ben Böhmer returns to Anjunadeep after a landmark 18 months. Amassing over 50 million streams, picking up BBC Radio 1 support from Annie Mac and Pete Tong, including an ‘Essential New Tune’, being featured in Billboard’s ‘Ones To Watch’ and most notably releasing his acclaimed debut studio album ‘Breathing’ last November. This year Ben released the ‘Breathing’ (Remixed) LP featuring reworks from dance music royalty like Boris Brechja and Gui Boratto, along with his first-ever live album, ‘Live from Printworks London’. He now follows with the statement three-track ‘Phases EP’.

A set of exuberant and unapologetically club-ready tracks, the ‘Phases EP’ is an almost nostalgic evocation of a more innocent and celebratory time. ’With the lockdowns and club closures still in effect across the world, the ‘Phases EP’ is a kind of weird reminder of a lost world, of what once was.’ Böhmer wistfully reminisces, ‘I made the music to sound great in big clubs to a big crowd late at night. In fact, I debuted two of the tracks in my Printworks set last year. Now that’s all gone, and that time seems a world away.’

Title track ‘Phases’, a highly sort after ID throughout Ben’s sets over the past 12 months sees him team up with Anjuna mainstay Spencer Brown for their second collaborative production. The EP follows with a pair of certified dance floor moments, ‘Motherboard’ adrift with vocal loops and driving bass and ‘Zeit & Raum’ a staccato brass-laden number.

With a passion for abstract art and photography, Böhmer is using a piece by artist Tyrone Williams for the cover art of the ‘Phases EP’. Says Böhmer, ‘whenever I travel, I love to visit museums. But there’s no travel now, and all the museums are closed. It’s a different world.’ 

When he’s not working on music in his newly-built home studio, Böhmer currently occupies himself with games of chess and long walks through a nearby forest, living the quiet existence that we all have been reduced to, as we wait for the world to bloom again.
