Inspired by the sense of community and determination which came out of the current pandemic, Just Her wrote the shimmering, uplifting ‘All We Have Is Now’ as a reminder to stay in the present moment and be thankful for the now, as “that’s really all we have”.
 
Later in 2020, Just Her created ‘Stay The Same’, which was produced specifically to sit alongside ‘All We Have Is Now’ for an EP release. As Just Her wanted ‘Stay The Same’ to be stylistically different to its partner track, she added her own hauntingly fragile vocals. The lyrics highlight the strength of relationships and a reflection of how strong things have been with her partner during the pandemic, despite everything which they have experienced.
 
Just Her has released on several leading labels including on Anjunadeep, Get Physical, Crosstown Rebels, Global Underground, Selador, Armada, her own Constant Circles label. Approaching their 10 year anniversary this year, LNOE is kicking off a new release series - LNOE Introducing, to continue pushing the boundaries with new talent and upcoming producers. Introducing three new artists who have each contributed an exclusive single, ahead of the compiled EP coming out on April 30th.

The third and final single in this series comes from San Francisco based producer Qrion. She has been producing greatly received music for Anjunadeep over the last years after self publishing her records since 2012. There’s been a lot of great music and we’re more than happy to welcome Qrion on LNOE with her newest single.

Her track ‘Monolith’ centres around a simple acid line and builds an amazing reflective landscape around this for the melody to take you away. Qrion tells us; "This track is inspired by the monolith that appeared in a red sandstone canyon in Utah last December. I love when nature and inorganic, mysterious objects come together. I’ve been such a huge fan of Sasha’s music and mixes for many years now. It’s exciting to be able to connect with the artists I look up to and their labels - LNOE feels like the perfect home for ‘Monolith’.”

30th of April will see Qrion debuting on LNOE with her single 'Monolith’ - available across all digital platforms.

Layer J and Sebek are on a roll with "Umbra". With top notch production matched by a superb melodic vibe this track really stands out from the crowd. A legend of Bristol’s dance music scene, Jody Wisternoff releases his brand new twelve-track LP ‘Nightwhisper’ today. His first solo album in eight years, ‘Nightwhisper’ follows Wisternoff’s 2012 debut LP ‘Trails We Blaze’ and esteemed catalogue as Way Out West. 

A formative figure in the UK rave scene, Wisternoff first made his name in the early ’90s before cementing his position as one of the UK’s finest talent-spotters and DJs as part of the Anjunadeep label family, where he co-curates the chart-topping annual compilation series. 

Written primarily in 2019, ‘Nightwhisper’ is a deeply personal album born out of a time of introspection for the Bristol producer following the death of his father:

“It was a time of conflicting emotions for me… I suddenly found myself appreciating the simpler things in life in a way that I had never done before, but on an equal note also questioning mortality on a level that is only possible after the passing of a family member.” 

Amidst the hefty demands of fatherhood and touring, Jody came to embrace his newfound awareness of impermanence and loss in his songwriting. The intimacy of the album is quickly conveyed in the opening track ‘Morning U’, which features spoken home recordings of Jody’s father above a touching melody. Exploring the full spectrum of emotion, the lively progressions and lyrics of ‘Lately’ and ‘Reverie’ provide an optimistic contrast to more melancholic numbers ‘For Those We Knew’ and ‘Nightwhisper’. 


Sonically, the album is heavily influenced by Wisternoff’s eclectic tenure in the UK music scene. Launching his career in 1986 at the age of 13 as a finalist at the DMC World DJ Championship, Wisternoff honed his craft at the forefront of UK rave culture, playing warehouses for seminal promoters Fantazia and Universe, and hosting a residency at the iconic Lakota club in Bristol. After a chance encounter in a record store, Wisternoff joined forces with Nick Warren to form Way Out West. The luminary duo rose to fame in the 1990s with several UK-charting singles and a UK dance number one in ‘Mindcircus’, quickly followed by a 1997 album ‘Way Out West’, which saw critical and commercial success. 


A statement LP with a pertinent message during this grounded time, ‘Nightwhisper’ is a culmination of Wisternoff’s decorated career and progression as an artist, husband, and father: 

“‘Nightwhisper’ is an attempt at finding balance and inner peace during the ever-changing life journey… In some ways, it’s a personal lullaby, a call back to simpler times which of course is impossible, but comforting none the less.”

Renowned Spanish artist Dosem (real name Marc Ramirez) releases his new album ‘Dream Decoder’ today on Anjunadeep. A considered mix of ambient atmospheres and melodic techno, ‘Dream Decoder’ was preceded by album singles ‘Tower’, ‘Megacities’ and ‘Eternal Summer’. 

With DJ support from the the likes of Tale Of Us, Hot Since 82, Maceo Plex, Camelphat, Gorgon City and Solomun and tastemaker stations like BBC Radio 1, Triple J, and KCRW, Dosem’s newest LP is set to solidify his reputation as one of Spain’s premier dance producers. 

With releases on Anjunadeep, Toolroom, John Digweed’s Bedrock, and his own imprint Houstrike, Dosem is a global player. He’s headlined Boiler Room in Catalonia and recently performed at Sonar, Ultra Miami, FNGRS CRSSD, Tomorrowland, Printworks London, and ADE, to name a few.

‘Dream Decoder’ features 15 new tracks of atmospheric, driving house and techno. Delicate textures and progressions rooted in modular synthesis are showcased throughout the album; ‘Soul Window’ and ‘So Close So Far’ are reminiscent of seminal artists such as Vangelis and Georgio Moroder, whilst ‘Megacities’ and ‘Dream Decoder’ up the ante with the raw, unrelenting energy that fans of Dosem know and love.

Composed during long stays in Tokyo, ‘Dream Decoder’ explores the theory “that links dreams to parallel universes and alternative lives”. Dosem expands on how this theory and the bustling metropolis heavily inspired the album’s forward-facing and diverse sound:

"I have always found the world of dreams a fascinating subject. Not only have they had a strong impact in my life, but they have also served as a powerful creative tool in my career. During these most recent years, I dedicated myself to keeping a small journal to remember them and to use it as inspiration for my music. At first, they seemed like abstract stories with no connection between them, but little by little, I began to find a code that linked everything…”

“In recent years, I became interested in the practice of lucid dreaming. This technique took on particular relevance during my various stays in Tokyo - a place that has always transmitted to me that beautiful metaphor between dreams and reality. I came up with the idea of making an audiovisual tribute to this wonderful city. So I started taking photos of its streets and its architecture, which at some point, served also as a gateway for those dream experiences. In this way, each song represents a dream, an album made of stories between this world and other worlds. A journey that tries to decode the dialogue between the conscious and the unconscious through music."

Dosem’s fourth studio album ‘Dream Decoder’ is out now via Anjunadeep. A limited edition of ‘Dream Decoder’ LPs is available, consisting of five club mixes selected by Dosem.
